The special coverage of ABS-CBN and GMA-7 on Rudy Fernandez's burial yesterday, June 12, was watched by millions of Filipinos.

Since fans were not allowed to witness Rudy Fernandez's burial at Heritage Park yesterday, June 12, millions of Filipinos tuned in to television to watch the funeral, which was covered live both by ABS-CBN and GMA-7. The Kapamilya and Kapuso networks made changes in their afternoon schedule to give way to Daboy's burial.

But according to the overnight ratings conducted by AGB Nielsen Philippines, more people tuned in to GMA-7's coverage as proven by its 33.6 percent rating; compared to ABS-CBN's coverage which generated a rating of 16.7 percent. The Kapuso network's coverage of Daboy's burial also became the most-watched daytime program while ABS-CBN's coverage managed to grab the tenth place.

GMA-7's SiS and ABS-CBN's Boy & Kris also allotted their whole program to Daboy's burial, which boosted the ratings of both morning shows. SiS got 17.2 percent while Boy & Kris got 12.7 percent.

Daboy's burial pre-empted some shows of both ABS-CBN and GMA-7.

The Dramarama Sa Hapon block of the Kapuso network—Kaputol ng Isang Awit, Magdusa Ka, and Daisy Siete—occupied the second to fourth slots, while the long-running noontime show Eat Bulaga! took the No. 5 spot.

In the primetime race, it was business as usual for Dyesebel as it posted a high 42.5 percent; followed by Joaquin Bordado (35.8 percent), Babangon Ako't Dudurugin Kita (35.3 percent), 24 Oras (31.1 percent), and The Singing Bee (24.2 percent) to complete the Top 5.

The rest of the Top 10 was occupied by Lobo, My Girl, TV Patrol World, Pinoy Dream Academy, and Dalja's Spring.

This is almost the same ranking in the primetime race last Wednesday, June 11, except for Dalja's Spring occupying the ninth slot and Pinoy Dream Academy on tenth place.

In the daytime race, Eat Bulaga! returned to No. 1 after a long time with 22.5 percent. It was followed by Daisy Siete, Magdusa Ka, Kaputol ng Isang Awit, and El Cuerpo Deseo.
