For her upcoming teleserye The Wedding, Anne Curtis
will be paired with a new leading man in the person of Derek Ramsay. The female
actress, who was last seen in the fantaserye Dyosa, will also be working
again with Zanjoe Marudo after working on the ABS-CBN primetime show.
In a previous interview with PEP (Philippine Entertainment Portal), Anne
explained the concept behind The Wedding. "They [ABS-CBN management]
want a breaker so mga 8 weeks lang siya. Parang very light lang," she says with
a smile.
Anne says that this primetime show is influenced by
Koranovelas that are funny in nature and have a light treatment.
"My character's name is Candice...the Menace. Cute di ba?
Marlon si Zanjoe, tapos si Warren si Derek."
She then describes her character: "Single siya na from being maarte she will
grow into a better person. Ang dream niya talaga is to have a beautiful
wedding."
Did she talk with Zanjoe's girlfriend, Mariel Rodriguez, regarding her kissing
scenes with her leading man?
Anne reveals, "Pumupunta yan [Mariel] sa set namin, so deadma na."
Did Mariel guard Zanjoe when it comes to their kissing scenes? "Hindi,
dumadalaw lang siya. Hindi naman daring yung kissing scene, dumadalaw lang
siya. Nagpapaluto nga ako sa kanya ng food, e. Nagdadala siya [Mariel] ng food
tapos super chikahan naman kami," says the female actress with a smile.
ABS-CBN's upcoming teleserye The Wedding is being directed by Jeffrey
Jeturian.
