Masasabing isang momentuous event ang mapapanood ngayong Sabado, May 30, sa Maalaala Mo Kaya dahil si Christopher de Leon ang magdidirihe ng naturang palabas.
Nakasama ni Direk Boyet ang kanyang asawa na si Sandy Andolong, at iba pang
award-winning celebrities tulad nina Jodi Sta. Maria at Bembol Roco. Ito ang
unang pagkakataon na magdidirehe si Boyet para sa drama anthology show sa loob
ng 17 years.
Ang naturang episode na ito ay tungkol kay Corporal Romualdo Rubi na isasabuhay ni Jhong Hilario. Mula
pagkabata, nais nang maging sundalo ni Romualdo at kahit na hindi siya
naiintindihan ng mga mahal niya sa buhay, handa siyang ialay ang buhay para sa
bayan.
Noong March 1991, kinalaban ni Corporal
Romualdo ang humigit kumulang 100 New People's Army rebels sa Surigao del Norte. Ito ang naging
dahilan upang bigyan siya ng Philippine
Medal of Valor, ang pinakamataas na military award na binibigay ng Armed
Forces of the Philippines.
