This Saturday, June 12, Kim Chiu and Carlo Aquino will bring depict the forbidden love of Joy and Nitoy for ABS-CBN's anthology show Maalaala Mo Kaya.
At 17 years old, Joy (Kim) got pregnant with the baby of Nitoy (Carlo), who was just 19 years old then. The two lived under one roof and got married when Joy turned 18. But the two were not mature enough to deal with the situation and often fought with each other.
Nitoy tried to be a good husband by working hard but he could not give up his bachelor ways. Joy did her best to be a caring wife and a mother but she ended up resenting Nitoy for preventing her from achieving her dreams in life.
Whenever they have a fight, Joy moves out of their house and Nitoy always begs for her forgiveness so his wife and son will move back in him with him. Little did they know that their constant fighting has put a toll on their son Janjan (Izzy Canillo).
Eventually, Joy decides to leave Nitoy for good, prompting Janjan to do extreme measures. The young boy calls up his father and tells him that will jump from the terrace if he does not reconcile with his mother.

Isay Alvarez will portray Soledad, Joy's mother; Richard Quan is cast as Artemio, Joy's father; Lotlot de Leon plays Hilda, Joy's Aunt; Glenda Carcia plays Lira, Nitoy's mother; while Rey PJ Abellana is cast as Rodolfo, Nitoy's father.
