PRESS STATEMENT:
"There's a reason that Tom is where he is," says Mission Impossible: Ghost Protocol co-star Simon Pegg. "It's no accident that he's the last of the great movie actors. He has committed his entire life to this and he does so with such intensity and his commitment is awe-inspiring. You kind of want to match it when you are with him, you kind of think 'OK, if you're going to give it that much then so am I and if I don't I'll fall behind.'"
"In the fourth installment of Mission Impossible, Ethan Hunt is wrongly accused of masterminding the bombing of the Kremlin and, along with the rest of the agency, is disavowed when the US President initiates "Ghost Protocol." Hunt and his crew are, in effect, fugitives and have to find a way to prove their innocence and prevent further atrocities
"As to Ghost Protocol being live-action, Pegg describes the breath-taking action scene on the Burj Khalifa (the surf-shaped, tallest building in Dubai, UAE), "Yes, he did hang off the Burj Khalifa. I was there and we were higher up than a helicopter would fly, it was scarily high and we were only about three quarters of the way up and Tom spent like two days running around on the outside of that building. I don't have any problem with heights but I was like 'I cannot look..' It made your stomach drop way..."
"Watch how Hunt, left with limited resources and no back up, has to rely on just three operatives--Benji Dunn (Simon Pegg), who is now a fully-fledged IMF agent, Brandt (Jeremy Renner) and Jane Carter (Paula Patton)--whom he hardly knows, save their lives and the reputation of the IMF Office.
"Tom Cruise reprises his role as IMF Agent Ethan Hunt and is joined by an international cast that includes Jeremy Renner, Simon Pegg, Paula Patton, Michael Nyqvist, Vladimir Mashkov, Josh Holloway, Anil Kapoor and Léa Seydoux.
"Mission Impossible: Ghost Protocol is a Paramount Pictures and Skydance Productions Presentation directed by Brad Bird and is distributed locally by United International Pictures through Solar Entertainment Corporation. Showing soon in in Philippine theatres."
