Front Row bagged the Television Journalism Award of the1st Migration Advocacy and Media Awards

GMA News TV's Front Row is a finalist in Unicef Asia-Pacific Child Rights Award

"One of GMA News TV's flagship documentary programs, Front Row, the documentary show that tackles relevant human interest stories and significant issue reflecting the many inequities of society has won a number of awards and recognitions from various international and local award-giving bodies.

"Front Row's "Yaman sa Basura," a documentary which followed the lives of children subsisting on meagre earning from urban mining is the only finalist from the Philippines in this year'sUNICEF Asia-Pacific Child Rights Award.

"Barely eight months on the air, Front Row also gained various citations locally. Its "Pag-Uwi" episode, a documentary that featured the struggles of Overseas Filipino Workers upon coming back home to the Philippines after surviving tragedies in different conflict areas in the Middle East bagged the Television Journalism Award of the1st Migration Advocacy and Media Awards.

"Recipients of this inaugural awards were chosen from a field of 64 official entries, including media from the Philippines, U.S., New Zealand, South Korea, and UAE.

"Front Row's "Bente Dos" which profiled the life of a family with twenty two children eking out a living in Manila's slums, was also awarded as Runner Up in the Best Documentary Category of the recently concludedPOPDEV Awards given annually by the Philippine Legislators' Committee on Population and Development (PLCPD). Finally, Front Row is also one of ANAK TV's awardees this year for being a child friendly television program.

"Front Row airs every Saturday at 8:40 PM on GMA News TV Channel 11."
