AGB Nielsen Mega Manila Household Ratings (Oct 24-26, 2014): Ikaw Lamang ends on top; Kapuso Mo, Jessica Soho beats pilot episode of The Voice PH

ABS-CBN continues to give a good fight against the dominance of GMA-7, according to data from AGB Nielsen Philippines from Mega Manila households from October 24 to 26, 2014.

ABS-CBN was able to place one show on top of the ratings chart on one day during the given period.

Ikaw Lamang aired its last episode on October 24, Friday, and it earned the highest rating against any other show on primetime or daytime.

Ikaw Lamang spent months losing to GMA-7’s My Destiny. But My Destiny ended on October 17, and Ikaw Lamang got better ratings after that. Its finale episode scored 24.5% against Hiram na Alaala’s 17.7%.

Ikaw Lamang is a family and political drama that starred Coco Martin, Kim Chiu, Jake Cuenca, and Julia Montes for Book 1 and Coco Martin, Kim Chiu and KC Concepcion for Book 2. It started airing on March 10 and has a total of 163 total episodes (162 new episodes, and one replay episode on July 16, the day of typhoon Glenda).

Another potential top-rater from ABS-CBN premiered October 26, Sunday: the second season of The Voice of the Philippines, the local version of the NBC singing competition. It features Sarah Geronimo, Lea Salonga, Apl. De Ap and Bamboo as coaches.

The Voice Philippines scored 22.4%, better than the regular ratings of I Do, the dating reality show whose timeslot it replaced. But it still lost to GMA-7’s news magazine program Kapuso Mo, Jessica Soho, which received 23.8%.

The highest-rating show for the weekend was Magpakailanman, which got 24.8%. The episode featured Miguel Tanfelix and Ruru Madrid as adopted siblings who live in a cemetery.
