Getting cancer is one of the most dreaded things to happen
to a person. Since modern science still has no cure for this disease, cancer
patients have to deal with chemotherapy sessions in order to delay the
inevitable.
When a female cancer patient finds out that she has only three months to live, she decides to live life to the fullest and make every day count. This is the premise of the indie film 100, which is one of the ten full-length films competing in the 2008 Cinemalaya Philippine Independent Film Festival that will begin this Friday, July 11.
During the 35th birthday celebration of John "Sweet" Lapus, PEP (Philippine Entertainment Portal) was able to talk with Eugene Domingo, one of the lead characters of this indie film directed by Chris Martinez.
We dared ourselves to do things that we don't usually do. 100 is about 100 things to do before you die. Si Mylene [Dizon], siya yung mamamatay dun. I play her best friend and her schoolmate.
The comedienne, who can be seen regularly in the GMA-7 show Ako si Kim Samsoon, says that she learned to appreciate life while she was shooting this indie film.
The stars of 100 are expected to grace the gala night of the said film on July 15 (Tuesday) at the Cultural Center of the Philippines.
