Cinema One Originals 2009 winners bared

Rosanna Roces (left) and Rio Locsin were named as Best Actress and Best Supporting Actress in the 5th Cinema One Originals Digital Movie Fest. Rosanna was the lead star in the dark comedy Wanted: Border while Rio played the mother of the young star in Si Baning, Si Maymay at ang Asong Si Bobo.
The 5th Cinema One Originals Digital Movie Fest capped off with its awards night held last Sunday, November 15, at the ABS-CBN Dolphy Theater.
Many local and foreign filmmakers and indie movie fanatics, as well as the films' cast, crew and many other celebrities, attended the night to support the five Cinema One Originals finalists: Maximus & Minimus, Wanted: Border, Bala Bala, Paano Ko Sasabihin and Si Maymay Si Baning at ang Asong Si Bobo.
Event hosts Piolo Pascual and Eugene Domingo made the night fun, light and memorable for the guests. Sam Milby and Nikki Gil also performed a medley of movie theme songs that delighted the audience.
Renowned filmmakers Danny Zialcita and Cannes Film Festival director Brillante Mendoza were honored as two of the Philippine Cinema One Originals tribute awardees that night.
To mark its 15th anniversary, Cinema One also chose to honor 15 Cinema One Legends namely Fernando Poe Jr., Dolphy, Susan Roces, Nida Blanca, Christopher de Leon, Vilma Santos, Nora Aunor, Maricel Soriano, Aga Muhlach, Robin Padilla, Judy Ann Santos, Claudine Barretto, John Lloyd Cruz, Sharon Cuneta and Piolo Pascual.
Presented by ABS-CBN stars, the glass trophies of Cinema One Originals went to the following winners:

This year's jury included four-time grand slam winning actress and Star for All Seasons Vilma Santos, award-winning filmmaker Khavn dela Cruz, screenplay writer Armando Lao, ABS-CBN Creative manger and award-winning writer Ricky Lee, and member of the Manunuri ng Pelikulang Pilipino and Dean of the College of Mass Communication in UP Diliman Rolando Tolentino.
The Cinema One Originals Digital Film Festival is produced and owned by Cinema One and the Creative Programs, Inc through the annual Cinema One Originals project.
