Out of 21 entries, eight movies were chosen to take part in the 2015 Metro Manila Film Festival.
"This year, we hope to reach P1.2 billion in the box-office," said Metro Manila Development Authority chairperson Atty. Francis Tolentino, concurrent head of the Metro Manila Film Festival Executive Committee.
"The lineup offers a mixture--meron tayong historical, comedy," he said about the movies that will be shown starting Christmas Day, December 25.
Tolentino led the announcement of the 8 official entries that will compete in the mainstream category of the 41st edition of the MMFF.
The MMFF 2015 official entries are:
1) Beauty and the Bestie starring Vice Ganda and Coco Martin

3) Haunted Mansion starring Janella Salvador, Marlo Mortel and Jerome Ponce

4) Hermano Puli starring Aljur Abrenica, Enzo Pineda, Alessandra de Rossi

5) Mr. and Mrs. Split starring Kris Aquino and Herbert Bautista

Atty. Francis Tolentino also announced the films in the 9th and 10th slot since they will be shown in case any entry backs out.
