I'm Drunk I Love You leading man Paulo Avelino is disappointed that his indie film is being pulled out from cinemas.
The actor took to Twitter earlier today, February 22, to express his disappointment with cinemas, especially with the Film Development Council of the Philippines (FDCP).
As of press time, his movie with Maja Salvador is showing only in 11 cinemas.
Paulo, who is also one of the film's producers, called out one particular movie house that pulled out the movie.
He wrote, "Ayala malls is well known to support the arts in any kind of platform. I used to watch alot of indie films at GB cinemas. Anong nangyari?"

In another tweet, he shared his sentiments with FDCP chairman Liza Dino.
The ABS-CBN actor wrote, "Mas malala pa pala yung nangyari sa mga pelikula at mga tao sa likod nito na nagbigay parangal sa BANSA natin. Anong nangyari? @lizadino
"FDCP (Film Development Council of the Philippines) FILM DEVELOPMENT? Paano? Anong nangyari?"

Liza responded to Paulo's tweets a few hours later.
She asked the actor: "Question:what marketing activities did you undertake to promote your film? Trying to assess here kung may gap somewhere."
The FDCP chairperson pointed out that the agency is already making a move regarding the "First day last day" showing that mostly happens to independent films.
Liza also told Paulo, "Fdcp is working with stakeholders para masolusyunan ang mga issues like first day last day. We are w you,our mandate is still limited but
"@mepauloavelino we are working relentlessly to find solutions. Mahirap pag walang batas. Gayunpaman, ginagawan namin ng paraan."

Maja wrote, "Kung si popoy at basha may second chance. Bakit di niyo kami kayang bigyan ng second week sa sinehan? #SaveIDILY
"Pangit ba pelikula namin? Kapalit palit ba kami ng foreign films? Hindi naman diba? Then whyyyy?!?!?!!? #SaveIDILY
"PH cinema! mahalin niyo naman yung pelikula naming #ImDrunkILoveYou
"Hindi na nga ako kayang mahalin ni Dio pati ba naman kayo! #SaveIDILY"
