Ruffa Gutierrez will appear in the "Ukay Ukay" episode of Shake, Rattle and Roll XI with her ex-boyfriend Zoren Legaspi. This horror film will open on Christmas Day along with other Metro Manila Film Fest entries.
Former couple Ruffa Gutierrez and Zoren Legaspi are reunited in the upcoming horror film Shake, Rattle and Roll XI.
During the first day of their shooting for the Regal Entertainment film, it was evident that Ruffa and Zoren were comfortable with each other as they taped for their episode titled "Ukay Ukay."
In an interview aired on SNN (Showbiz News Ngayon) last November 2, Ruffa and Zoren were asked about their past relationship. The TV host-beauty queen distinctly remembers how they became an item in the past.
"I think, it was 19-kopong-kopong pa yun, huh? Hindi...actually mas gusto niya si Carmina [Villaroel, who is now Zoren's wife] talaga sa umpisa kasi mataba pa ako nun, e. So niligawan mo [Zoren] si Carmina at bata pa si Carmina nun. Then ginawa natin yung [1990 movie] Tora Tora, Bang Bang. Nakita niya ako sume-sexy. Ayun, kawawa naman hindi na niya pinansin si Carmina. Ako pinansin niya pero tignan mo naman ang ending... sila nagkatuluyan."
After reminiscing their love story, Zoren then revealed what happened during Ruffa's marriage to Yilmaz Bektas in 2003.
"Invited ako," narrated Zoren. "Tapos last minute, sabi mo [Ruffa] wag na ako pumunta kasi baka mag react yung isa [Yilmaz].
He continued, "Last minute, kinancel niya talaga ako...siya talaga, hindi man lang ibang tao. Talagang sinabi niya, 'wag ka na pumunta' pero naintindihan ko naman siya. Hindi naman ako nasaktan, nahurt lang," quipped Zoren.
But despite their closeness and being comfortable with each other, Ruffa still isn't ready for the request of her ex-boyfriend for the movie.
"Kailangan panoorin ito ng mga anak namin kahit nag-re-request ka..." Ruffa told a visibly embarrassed Zoren. "Nag re-request siya nang kissing scene...hindi puwedeng ganyan huh?! Ano ka ba? Wala sa script pinagdadagdagan mo...hindi naman kailangan sa pelikula yun, e."
Zoren ended the interview by saying, "Pero it's so nice to work with her again and yun yung masarap na pag magkaibigan kayo na naghiwalay kayo na mga kaibigan...hindi masama yung loob niya, hindi masama yung loob ko. So magaan pa rin yung trabaho and at the same time, we're still friends."
Shake, Rattle and Roll XI is one of the Metro Manila Film Fest entries of Regal Entertainment this year. The other one is Mano Po 6: My Mother, which will star Sharon Cuneta, Zsa Zsa Padilla, Heart Evangelista, Dennis Trillo and Kris Aquino.
