Summer MusiKaraBand will kick off on April 17 | PEP.ph: The Number One Site for Philippine Showbiz

This summer, things will get hot as Sony Music and PLDT MyDSL in cooperation with MYX (the official music channel), Eastwood City, SM Supermalls, FG Revolution Denim, Magic 89.9 and www.pep.ph, launch Summer MusiKaraBand on April 17, 8 pm at the Eastwood Central Plaza.

This is a musical roadshow featuring the label's top notch and up and coming bands. Respectively, they have recently released their debut albums—armed with sheer talent, the merits and the commercial appeal of their music. Targeting the youth market, their music is clean, upright, and pop! These young musicians are whom we see as the next generation in the local band scene.

This event will bannered by the country's most popular bands like Pupil, 6cyclemind, Callalily, Cueshe, Itchyworms and Moonstar88. It will also include three of Sony Music's new addition of amazing talents—band competition champion Letter Day Story, alternative/acoustic band Roots of Nature and all-girl band Duster. These promising acts are currently burning the airwaves and music video channels with their singles.

Letter Day Story captures love and student life via the song "Ikaw Pa Rin." Roots of Nature has been known for their solid live performances even before they clinched a major record deal and this can be heard with their latest single "Di Nakikita" which came out with an animated music video. Listeners will get addicted to the first track titled "Dek-A-Doodle Dandy" of Duster, which is composed of four ladies who came from different bands.

The Sony Music Summer MusiKaraBand will begin its round on April 24 at SM Pampanga, April 25 at SM Sta. Rosa, April 26 at SM Dasmariñas, May 2 at SM Marilao, May 10 at SM Baliwag, May 16 at SM Clark and May 30 at SM North EDSA. More dates will be announced in the coming weeks. Expect a rockin' afternoon with the hottest bands hitting your side of town.

It is indeed the ultimate music trip this season.
