Christian Bautista will be a special guest of Korean Pop star Rain performs live in Manila for a concert titled Intensity. It will be staged at the SM Mall of Asia Concert Grounds on September 11 at 8 PM. Also in the show is the famous K-POP Group U-Kiss. Produced by Francis Lumen in partnership with Smart and TV5, this will be Rain's last concert before being drafted into the Korean military service for two years as required for all male citizens of his country.
Rain was supposed to be joined by another K-POP group called MBLAQ (Music Boys Live in Absolute Quality) but it's lead singer had the same predicament of being drafted to their military service. For this reason, the band U-Kiss will be coming to the Philippines as a replacement.
Tickets for Intensity are priced from Php 500 to Php 4500 pesos and are available at SM Cinema Ticketbooths (Tel. No. 470-2222) and Ticketworld Reservations (Tel. No. 891-9999). Tickets are also available in Ticket World offices and SM Ticketron.
FUTURE ACTING PROJECTS. PEP (Philippine Entertainment Portal) had the chance to interview Christian when he attended the birthday celebration of Ogie Alcasid last August 27. Asia's Pop Idol informed PEP that he will soon be seen in ABS-CBN's Sunday afternoon series Your Song.
"I'm going to Malaysia [August 28-30] to shoot for the Sunday afternoon series Your Song. I'll be paired with Carmen Soo and it'll be aired probably next month.
"I'm nervous about acting coz it's been a long time since I acted on TV. I hope I do well."
The singer-actor revealed that it wasn't his first time to work with Carmen since she appeared in his previous music video for the song 'Afraid for Love to Fade.'
He then revealed that he worked with Cristine Reyes for the music video of his next single titled "I Remember the Girl."
The singer will also be making his big screen debut in Indonesia through his upcoming film.
"I'll be doing a movie in Indonesia by the end of the year. Half of my lines would be in Indonesian while the other half would be English. Hindi pa ko marunong mag-Indonesian kaya pag-aaralan ko pa. The movie is not really a love story but it's more of an inspirational movie."
What does Christian like most about the culture of Indonesia? "The music scene there is number one. Kung dito, the music industry is only number two, there it's number one. Ang number one kasi sa atin, ang TV industry."
