PRESS STATEMENT FROM GMA-7:

"Danger lurks at any point of the day… at all times, one must be ready. Hindi ka biktima… maging ALISTO!

"Beginning this Saturday, March 23, at 4 pm, GMA News and Public Affairs launches its newest program: Alisto!

"Hosted by veteran broadcast journalist Igan Arnold Clavio, Alisto! features shocking videos of tragedies, accidents, crimes, felonies, and other documented hazards–actual footage as captured by CCTV cameras, cellphone cameras, and other video recorders. Clavio also shares crucial tips on how to prioritize one’s safety.

"On its pilot episode, Alisto! tells the story of a disastrous accident that took place in Sual, Pangasinan: a commuter bus lost brakes and upturned on the road. A number of casualties were recorded but it was seven year old John Christian who suffered the most when he was squeezed in a window after the bus overturned.

"In the hopes of helping the child, eyewitnesses to the perilous event speedily volunteered and manually pulled John Christian from where he was squashed. But this same eagerness to help only made it worse for John Christian’s condition.

"Alisto! also tackles the latest theft Modus Operandi that uses children as accomplices. Actual videos of spouse and girlfriend battery caught on CCTV cameras are also on feature. What should one do upon witnessing such acts?

"Catch all these on Saturday, March 23, 4 pm on ALISTO! after Startalk on GMA-7."
