Piolo Pascual and Angel Locsin play two people who live in two different worlds—Noah is a soldier while Lyka is a fashion assistant. In the TV series Lobo, their paths will cross and they will fall in love with each other even if they are destined to destroy each other.
Months of waiting seem to have whetted the appetite of viewers who were looking forward to the tandem of Piolo Pascual and Angel Locsin on television. Lobo features the first team-up of the matinee idol and the lovely actress on the small screen.
The entire cast, staff and management team behind the new teleserye Lobo were ecstatic with the warm reception of viewers to the first episode of the show last Monday, January 28. According to overnight ratings conducted by AGB Nielsen Philippines among Mega Manila households, Lobo received 27.7 percent, making it the Top 6 show to be aired on the primetime block on that day.
Flashback scenes featuring Sheryl Cruz, Agot Isidro, Diether Ocampo, Irma Adlawan and others got great feedback, giving viewers more reasons to watch out for the appearance of Piolo and Angel. The pilot episode showed a group called the Waya that guards the traditions and laws of the werewolves.
"[When they will come out] is just one of the many surprises of Lobo," explains Piolo, who plays the character of Noah Ortega in the TV series. "We're very grateful with the viewers' awesome reception not only of our show, but with all the shows on Primetime Bida. It meant so much to us, that a lot of people are sharing our excitement for these new shows, thank you very much."
"I was touched with all the congratulatory messages extended to us by our friends and supporters. I am really overjoyed," said Angel gratefully. "Abangan niyo po ang paglabas namin ni Piolo, tutukan niyo po araw-araw dahil painit nang painit ang mga tagpo dito sa Lobo," said the actress who plays a fashion designer named Lyka Raymundo.
Joining Angel and Piolo in this grand teleserye is a powerhouse support cast led by Shaina Magdayao, Ryan Eigenmann, Robert Arevalo, Agot Isidro, Dimples Romana, Maritoni Fernandez, Nash Aguas, Lauren Young, Janus Del Prado, AJ Perez, Gio Alvarez, Dante Rivero and Ms. Pilar Pilapil, with the special participation of Bobby Andrews, Kier Legaspi, Angel Aquino, Sharlene San Pedro, and Jacob Dionisio.
