The Philippines has earned 14 nominations in the prestigious New York Festivals World's Best TV & Films competition.
GMA Network earned 9 nominations, ABS-CBN got three while TV5 and CCTV News each bagged one.
The finalists were chosen by an international jury among entries submitted from 48 countries around the globe.
Over 200 producers, directors, writers, and other creative media professionals from around the globe comprised the grand jury of the New York Festivals.
Among the PH entries this year were GMA's first bayani-serye titled Ilustrado and ABS-CBN's primetime soap opera Nathaniel.
GMA's Ilustrado featured Alden Richards as Jose Rizal and Kylie Padilla and Solenn Heussaff were tapped to portray the past lovers of the national hero.
ABS-CBN's angel-themed series Nathaniel was topbilled by Gerald Anderson, Shaina Magdayao, and child actor Marco Masa.
The rest of the Pinoy nominees were mostly documentaries.
The New York Festivals awards program began in 1957 and has since been honoring creative excellence in all types of media used by communications professionals.
The awards night of the New York Festivals will take place in Las Vegas on April 19, 2016.
