it was really the most challenging of all concerts that I've ever done—to step
on that stage celebrating 25 years with no voice," says Gary Valenciano about

@ 25 will be shown this Sunday, March 15, on ABS-CBN's
Sunday's Best.
"It would give you an idea of what the night was really like," described Mr. Pure Energy about the TV special that he personally edited in his home studio.
He added, "What they will see on Sunday, it's not the whole concert. There are numbers that we had to remove, keep some numbers, edit some numbers. Pero I'm glad na mukhang flawless naman ang presentation. I'm really excited about it."
Live @ 25 was a sold out concert when it was first staged for two consecutive nights in November at the Araneta Coliseum. There was so much clamor from his avid fans that it had a repeat last February at the same venue.
He said that the two-night concert last November, including the repeat last February, was compressed into an almost 2-hour TV special.
"A lot of that was talking kasi. So, I took out a lot of the talking. I took out four numbers, but that would all be seen on the DVD," said Gary.
He further added, "Exciting siya kasi parang itong sa Sunday's Best, it's a prelude doon sa DVD na lalabas. Siyempre, 'yong DVD, may mga special features 'yan, behind the scenes, lahat, interviews, commentaries, with a trailer pa of other DVDs that will be coming out in the future."
Regarding the upcoming DVD version, which is scheduled to be released between April and May, Gary said, "On the DVD it's the whole concert. When you watch, parang isang [concert] na. Bumili na kayo ng isang buong popcorn. It still would be only one night. There are things that will have to be taken out na ginawa ko lang for live purposes dahil nga live. But there will be some things that will have to be taken off."
Gary enumerates the things included in the DVD: "Behind the scenes, 'yong mga meetings namin, 'yong mga meetings na medyo makikita mo na naiirita na kami sa isa't isa. You will see how Rowell [Santiago] and I really worked with each other.
"There will also be interviews like, I didn't have a voice on the first two nights. So, instead of going back to the studio and sing it again, sabi ko, ‘Hindi natin pwedeng gawin 'yan kasi alam ng tao na wala akong boses, e. We still have to present it ganun pa rin.' So, inayos lang namin ng konting-konti ang pagkanta ko. I really wanted to show people as close to the way it really was."
Viewers will be able to see the performances of Gary's children namely Gabby, Paolo, and Kiana. They will also witness the number of Mr. Pure Energy with Concert King Martin Nievera, which said to be a prelude to their rumored back-to-back concert later this year.
