Filipino fans will finally see what kept more than 20 million Americans glued to their television sets when NCIS (Naval Criminal Investigative Service) season 7 premieres with Truth or Consequences on Fox Channel.
In the all-new season of NCIS, former Marine gunnery sergeant Leroy Jethro Gibbs returns with his unlikely team of investigators—an ex-homicide detective, a young scientist, a computer hacker, and a former Mossad agent—eager to get their hands dirty on criminal investigations involving the United States Navy and Marine Corps.
NCIS tells the story of a Major Case Response Team (MCRT) based at the Washington Navy Yard in Washington, D.C. The MCRT is usually assigned to high-profile cases such as the death of the U.S. president's military aide, a bomb situation on a U.S. Navy warship, terrorist threats, espionage, kidnappings, and missing submarines.
Aside from its intriguing storylines, fans worldwide also know that NCIS's brilliant combination of wit and action, character-driven plots, and fantastic ensemble acting are what sets it apart from all other police procedural drama TV series.
In the United States, NCIS became a top 10 program in its fifth season, averaging 15.65 million viewers. The next two seasons saw the TV series jump to no. 5, averaging 17.89 million and 4 spots, 19.33 million viewers.
The drama television series stars Mark Harmon (the West Wing and Chicago Hope) as supervisory special agent Leroy Jethro Gibbs, Michael Weatherly (Dark Angel) as special agent and senior field agent Anthony "Tony" DiNozzo, Sean Murray (Boston Public, ER) as special agent Timothy McGee, and Cote de Pablo (The Jury) as probationary special agent Ziva David.
The cast also includes David McCallum (Law & Order, Sex and the City) as chief medical examiner Dr. Donald "Ducky" Mallard, Pauley Perrette (CSI, 24) as forensics specialist Abigail "Abby" Sciuto, and Rocky Carroll (Grey's Anatomy, Boston Legal, ER) as NCIS director Leon Vance.
In the first ever "road block" in Philippine TV history, Truth or Consequences will also air simultaneously on Star Movies, Star World, Foxcrime, FX, and Channel V on August 16, 2010 at 9:50 p.m.
NCIS season 7 airs first in Asia exclusively on FOX Channel (Sky Cable channel 50 and Destiny Cable channel 32) every Monday at 10 p.m.
