Watch Glaiza de Castro bring life to the modern-day fairytale Grazilda this September on GMA-7.
The timeless tale of a beautiful girl enslaved by her wicked stepmother and stepsisters has evolved over the centuries, and at present, continues to be one of the most popular and well-loved classics all over the globe.
It has been told and translated from one culture to another with modern interpretations incorporated on the beloved classic. The original story will always remain a favorite but what if a magical twist comes along to this traditional fairy tale. What if someone else's foot fit into the glass slippers? What if the evil stepsister becomes the royal princess?
This is the untold story of Grazilda, GMA Network's upcoming primetime soap, which will warm the hearts of many beginning this September on the Telebabad block.
The Kapuso Network brings all the magic of the "happily ever after" saga back to life with a modern twist and develops it into an original story that aims to defy conventions in traditional drama soap operas.
From a fairy tale land called Fantasia, Grazilda (to be essayed by Kapuso artist Glaiza de Castro) always makes her stepsister Cinderella's world a living hell. She tries to disrupt Cinderella and Prince Charming's wedding but through her sister's kind-hearted Fairy God Mother, she will be banished to the mortal world and from then on, lives a life that of Cinderella's. A reversal of fortune happens and Grazilda now trades places with Cinderella.
How will her stay in the mortal world change the course of her life? Who will be her stepmother and stepsisters? Will she ever find her Prince Charming? Will Grazilda also have her own Fairy God Mother in the mortal world?
Yesterday, August 29, the identity of Grazilda was revealed in GMA-7's musical-variety show, Party Pilipinas. Soon, viewers will see Glaiza step into the magical shoes of Grazilda and charm audiences with her beauty and grace.
