Maricar de Mesa is now a mommy!
According to the baby's hospital crib card, the 37-year-old actress gave birth via Cesarean section earlier today, July 18, at past 6 p.m.
Among the first to post the picture of Baby Sky was her Ninang Almira Muhlach, whose caption for the photo: "Hello, baby Sky!!!Ninang Miray is so happy to meet you!!!#babysky #excitedninang"
This Instagram post was quickly flooded with congratulatory messages from Maricar's celebrity friends such as Ana Roces, Jackie Forster, and Samantha Lopez.
In an interview with PEP.ph (Philippine Entertainment Portal) during her baby shower last Saturday, July 16, Maricar said she chose to give birth here in the Philippines because of strong support system.
The first-time mom then said, "I'm comfortable here, e. Nandito ang family ko and my friends."
Meanwhile, she remained mum about the identity of her baby's father.
Maricar said, "Pagdating na lang niya, ipapakilala ko na lang siya sa lahat."
She also mentioned that her partner will be arriving from the U.S. soon.
