MAJA Salvador celebrated her 18th birthday yesterday, October 5, at the Gazebo Royale in Visayas Avenue Extension, Quezon City. She had no escort at her debut party last night since she has no boyfriend as of the moment. However, she did have three male “escorts” in the persons of First Day High co-stars—Geoff Eigenmann, Gerald Anderson and Jason Abalos. Also in attendance was Kim Chiu, Maja’s co-actress in the youth-oriented film.
Maja considered the success of First Day High as a memorable birthday present. According to her, the movie grossed P38 million in five days despite being ravished by typhoon “Milenyo.” She is so thankful to God that the movie turned out well. The continued patronage of moviegoers made her day extra special.
The success of the movie inspired Maja to concentrate more on her acting skills. With that in mind, she has no plans of entertaining suitors. Fans applaud Maja for her portrayal of Pré the socialite. In a separate interview with YES! Online, Maja said that she considers her character in First Day High as her total opposite.
