I saw her interview when she was enrolling at the U.P. College of law. Minamaliit niya ang ibang naging beauty queen dahil siya raw ay hinda mag so showbiz at may "ginagawa" sa buhay kung ikukumpara sa iba. Di pa nga nakakapasa nang bar ang yabang na! We don't need lawyers like you mag modeling ka na lang.

i don't know how to phrase my thoughts out. but when i read her answers sa ms u website, parang predictable na mga sagot ng kahit sinong representative from our country. konting variations lang but basically the same. somehow, i appreciate our consistency pero di na interesting kasi parang narinig na dati.
kaya nanghinayang talaga ako nong time ni mirriam. the crown was for her to take but she did not stand by her own convictions. she answered 'yes' where she could have answered no because as a renewed catholic christian, pregnancy outside of marriage or before marriage is not encouraged and since wearing the miss u crown for a year, one is supposed to sign a contract not to get pregnant. a big no would have been the right answer if she wanted to honor her commitment. she answered the politically correct answer of yes, but which is not necessarily right. that is why she stumbled in her explanation because personally that was not what she believed in. after her answer, everyone was just disappointed.

Sorry but Anna's beauty is not for Miss Universe... She is pretty but very ordinary...

Maganda si Anna Licaros...pinay na pinay nga ang beauty niya eh! It's ok Ms. Photogenic naman siya eh at least may naiuwi siya, at hindi nakakasawa ang beauty niya my brain pa. Ewan ko ba kung bakit nanalo yung Ms. Japan kung tutuusin ay mas maganda at matalino yung last Ms. Japan 2006 na sumali noon.

maybe anna licaros has the brains..kaya lang Ms.U is not a contest for brainy people lang.. my gosh, andami namang mas maganda sa kanya sa pinas no..ang hirap kasi sa Bb.Pilipinas judges,puro talino na lang pinaiiral,dapat jan over all personality,kaya nga beauty contest eh,after beauty,brain comes next..oo nga maganda siya,kaya nga lang hindi pang Ms.Universe ang ganda..hindi man lang pumasok sa top 5, Sikat pa man din ang pinas pagdating sa delegates na isinasali sa Ms.U kasi even if they didn't won the crown,at least they make it to top five if I'm not mistaken..

Ang sabi sabi dito sa Miami, yung mga nang-boo daw ay mga tauhan hi Chavez, President ng Venezuela. Sya din yung nagsabi na devil daw si Pres. Bush. Hindi naman daw Mexicans ang mga nang-boo.....On the other hand, pwede ring mga Mexicans yun kasi di ba they claim that they are being maltreated in the US, about ito dun sa illegal immigration.

Our very own Lara (Quigaman) won Ms International & this was predicted by her dad even as a young girl. The same with Riyo. Noong bata pa siya, sinabihan daw siya ng lola niya.

ang chika ng friend ko, pansinin nyo yung mga pumasok sa semi-finals. meron daw investments sa Miss Universe, like yung Ms Thailand, sila raw sponsor ng swimsuit. Before the competition, nag-campaign na raw si Ms. Japan & Ms. Puerto Rico. Pero talo nating lahat sila, taon-taon, meron tayong vote-for-miss photogenic campaign!

kailangan talaga CONFIDENT ang sasali w/poise and grace..di lang beauty and brain, ang brain kasi malalaman mo yon kung masasali ka sa TOP 5 na, syempre pag rumarampa ka, yong projection ng innerself mo ang importante. mukhang mahiyain pa tong si licaros, kitang kita ng tinawag sya for ms photogenic, nagabang pa naman ako kasi sa mga naririnig ko maganda at may brain daw ang kasali natin sa ms universe, but nong tinawag sya, mukhang ewan sya compared sa top 5!

ang kapal ng mga messycans, may pa BOO pa sila sa Miss USA, huwag ka, sila ung mga pabalik balik ng border, gustong makarating ng USA para magkapag WELFARE at free ride ..BOOO!!

At least di na sila magtatanong ng "Is there a country with that name? Where is that country?". Sa mga banyagang nakaksalamuha ko, parang gusto ko silang batukan kapag nagtanong ng ganito. See, alam na nila na me bansang Pilipinas...at palaging Miss Photogenic sa MIss Universe 3 years in a row na.

I agree with aiveec... in other countries, on-line voting does not exist or the people just don't care. only in phils. where pinoys are so eager to vote on-line for "something" that the country can get. it does not matter what kind of award. too bad the country's rep. is not as glamorous as the other participants. the country's rep. are getting better, though. i admit it. there was a time when the contestants look like girls from the street or porn stars. try next time and make sure the organizers will pick somebody who has grace, style, poise, brain, charm, and the "it" factor.

Recently, Philippines always get the Ms. Photogenic award because of Filipinos' eagerness to go on-line and vote. If the award is determined by the judges, I doubt Philippines will ever win. For question and answer, it's not what you say, it's how you say it. Miss Japan stood out because of her confidence and the way she answered the question... Miss USA was booed because of political relationship of the US and Mexico. Generally, Mexicans are trouble makers so I wasn't surprised.

there are rumors that donald trump is one of the benefactors of kano sisters (check wikipedia). baka that is one of the reasons why favorite this year as well as last year ang japan. for me, hindi kagandahan sina Kurara at Riyo. there are lots of beautiful women here. can't count them as one.

yeah.. maybe this is just not our time yet although we had high hopes that theresa could make it into the top 5. aside from that, miss universe is a business. Donald trump has an influence over Miss U since he is the owner.. Ano nga ba macocontribute ng Pinas sa kanya?

beauty is in the eye of the beholder. theresa is indeed beauty and brains but the judges aren't aware of that.
