It doesn't matter if Marvin Agustin is already the sixth choice for the role of Thomas in the horror film Dagaw. What matters most is that he is the final choice to star opposite Richard Gutierrez.

Kinumpirma sa PEP (Philippine Entertainment Portal) ng isang involved sa production ng horror film na Dagaw ang balitang si Marvin Agustin na ang papalit kay Ryan Agoncillo sa naturang pelikula ng GMA Films.
Late this month naka-schedule mag-shooting si Marvin, na pang-sixth replacement na sa nasabing role na makakalaban ni Richard Gutierrez.
Bago napunta ang role kay Marvin ay dumaan muna ito kina Dennis Trillo, Jericho Rosales, Dingdong Dantes, Diether Ocampo, at Ryan. Sari-saring rason kung bakit hindi natuloy ang mga nabanggit, pero karamihan sa kanila ay dahil sa conflict of schedule.
Bago pa man i-offer kay Ryan ang role na Thomas, nagpakita na ng interes si Marvin na mapasama sa project ni Direk Chito Roño para sa GMA Films. Ngayong sa kanya na ito natuloy, siguradong tuwang-tuwa ang aktor.
Horror movie ang Dagaw na salitang Waray para sa anino. Hindi na bago sa ganitong genre si Marvin dahil ilang horror movies na ang ginawa niya sa OctoArts Films. Isa na rito ang suspense-horror film Kutob (2005) kung saan nanalo siya bilang Best Actor noong 2005 Metro Manila Film Fest.
First movie ito ni Marvin sa GMA Films at hindi siya mahihirapan sa kanyang schedule dahil nag-sign na siya ng exclusive contract sa GMA Artist Center. Nabanggit ng aktor sa isang TV interview na gagawa siya ng movie sa Unitel at Regal Entertainment, pero ang Dagaw ang kanyang uunahin dahil paalis si Direk Chito para sa shooting ng movie niya na London Caregiver ng Star Cinema na pagbibidahan ni Sharon Cuneta.
