Magtatapos na next week ang primetime sopa opera ng GMA-7 na Impostora. Nagkaroon ng scheduling problem ang soap nina Sunshine Dizon and Iza Calzado dahil sa shooting schedule ni Iza ng Hollywood film na The Echo sa Canada at muntik na itong mapaikli sa thirteen weeks. Pero naayos ang lahat kung kaya't magtatapos ang show in its original length of sixteen weeks.
Papalitan ang Impostora ng isang fantaserye na based sa isang Japanese franchise, ang Shaider, na may pamagat na Zaido: Pulis Pangkalawakan. Bagama't hindi pinagamit ang original title nito sa GMA-7, na-retain pa rin ang original na kuwento. Sa halip, mga kamag-anak na lang ni Shaider ang gaganap sa mga pangunahing papel.
Naiba rin ang casting sa pagpasok ni Dennis Trillo sa Zaido. Originally, si Marky Cielo sana ang gaganap sa title role na Zaido at solo star lang siya rito. With Dennis's entrance, nadagdagan pa ng isa pang lead star, ang StarStruck 4 Ultimate Hunk na si Aljur Abrenica. Silang tatlo ang bida sa bagong programa na ito ng GMA-7.
Magpipinsan ang papel nina Dennis, Marky at Aljur at mga pulis pangkalawakan sila.
Lumaki lalo ang casting sa pagpasok nina Lorna Tolentino, Diana Zubiri at Raymart Santiago. Also in the cast are Tirso Cruz III, Kris Bernal, Lovi Poe, Ian de Leon, Karel Marquez, at ang batang si Robert Villar.
Si Jay Manalo pa rin ang gaganap na lead villain ngunit si Paolo Ballesteros na ang gaganap sa transvestite villain reminiscent of the original Japanese show. Portraying the Amazonas are LJ Reyes, Iwa Moto, Vanness del Moral, Arci Muñoz, and Melissa Avelino.
