Sexy actress Ara Mina is obviously starting to show traces of irritability and extreme discomforts at all the Manny Pacquiao intrigues hounding her.
"Sana ‘yong mga involved na tao magsalita na rin. I mean linisin nila ‘yong pangalan ko. I explained myself already so that's it, tapos na ‘yon," said Ara in a taped interview aired by Showbiz Central yesterday, October 14.
Ara, who is currently doing a movie with Manny, stressed that she does not hold any grudge against the boxing icon, contrary rumors that she's terribly hurt by Manny's seeming lack of initiative to dispel the talks linking them.
"I'm not mad at him. I'm not mad at his wife," she clarified before adding, "Kilalanin muna nila ako bago ako pagbintangan ng kung sino man diyan."
NO BIG DEAL. Ara lashed out at some of her critics for allegedly spreading word that she cried in disappointment when she failed to bag the part to sing the Philippine National Anthem in Manny Pacquiao's well-anticipated rematch with Mexican Marco Antonio Barrera held last October 6 at the Mandalay Bay Hotel and Casino in Las Vegas, USA. It was young singer Kyla who performed the anthem.
She said she went through the audition just like everyone else.
"They asked me na mag-audition so okay wala naming masama... so what's the big issue there?" she asked, still livid.
Ara also asked rumormongers to stop pitting her against Kyla in connection with the Lupang Hinirang controversy: "Huwag naman kaming pagsabungin ni Kyla dahil kaibigan ko si Kyla."
In parting, Ara asked the people who are caught in the same controversy with her to speak up for the public to hear all sides.
"Kailangan meron ding naririnig din na ibang panig kasi parang nagmumukha akong tanga na ako lang ang defend nang defend sa sarili ko. Isang word lang e, ‘Hindi totoo' that's it."
