Double blessing ang natanggap ng Star Magic talent and older brother of Rayver Cruz na si Rodjun Cruz before and after he turned 20 last October 10, kung kaya't binigyan siya ng sarili niyang birthday press conference ng Star Magic kahapon, October 23, sa ABS-CBN compound.
A member of the popular Cruz clan of showbiz, Rodjun (real name: Rodolfo Othello Cruz III) stands almost as tall as his younger brother Rayver at 5'11". Siya ang huling addition sa all-male dance group na Anime noon.
Days before he turned a year older, si Rodjun ang nagwagi ng jackpot sa Wowowee's "Merrygalo" portion worth P250,000. Three days after he celebrated his birthday, sila ng kanyang partner na si Lina Basas ang nanalong grand champion in the just-concluded U Can Dance Celebrity Edition Ver. 2 finals with another P250,000 cash prize.
Balak ipunin ni Rodjun ang napanalunan niyang half a million pesos or baka mag-down siya sa isang kotse.
The young bachelor celebrated his birthday with his family.
"Dati po nagka-girlfriend na ako, pero nag-split na kami," banggit ni Rodjun during the presscon.
Having said that, he is also proud to admit that he is still a virgin.
"Inire-reserba ko po kasi ito sa mapapangasawa ko," nakangiting sabi ng binata.
Too conservative ang kuya ni Rayver to even think of going bold para mahiwalay ang image niya sa kanyang kapatid, although Rodjun admits he goes to the gym to attain a hunky physique, in preparation for more mature roles.
Will this mean we could see him next year as one of the Cosmo hunks or in the Metro body calendar next year?
"Hindi ko po alam kung kaya ko yun. Siguro po kung topless lang and jeans baka puwede pa," mahiyaing sagot niya.
A regular of ASAP '07 sa ABS-CBN, Rodjun continues his studies and he is now in third year college at St. Francis of Assisi taking up BSBA Management.
