Regal Baby na rin si Lovi Poe. Ito ay matapos niyang pumirma ng kontrata sa film company ni Mother Lily Monteverde.
Limang taon daw ang effectivity ng naturang contract at bilang panimulang project, isinama si Lovi sa Shake Rattle & Roll 9, na entry ng Regal Entertainment sa Metro Manila Film Festival this year. Kasali si Lovi sa episode na "Christmas Tree" ng naturang horror franchise at dito ay kasama rin niya sina John Prats, Nash Aguas, Tonton Gutierrez, at Ms. Boots Anson Roa.
"This is my first movie so far. Kahit na medyo matagal na ako sa showbiz, ngayon pa lang talaga ako nagkaroon ng pelikula, that's why I am very excited," masayang pahayag ni Lovi Poe sa PEP (Philippine Entertainment Portal).
Pero nilinaw ni Lovi na wala naman siyang nerbiyos na nararamdaman dahil nga nasanay na siya sa pag-arte sa TV. Isa si Lovi sa major characters ng Bakekang na tumakbo ng mahabang panahon sa GMA-7, kaya nga nasanay na siya sa mga eksena sa pelikula na aniya ay ganoon din sa telebisyon.
"Bit it sure gave me a different high. Dahil nga iba ang pelikula, talagang feel na feel mo na artista kang tunay," excited na sabi ng young actress-singer.
After SRR 9, Lovi expects another one, yung medyo naka-focus sa kanya dahil 'yon daw ang sabi ng Regal sa kanya. "I hope drama ito where I can show my mettle in acting," sabi niya.
Marami raw dream roles si Lovi. Hangga't maari ay gusto niyang masubukan ang iba't ibang genre gaya ng comedy, action, at drama. Pero aniya, sa drama niya gustong mag-focus dahil dito raw niya nailalabas ang mga pighati niya sa buhay.
"When I am acting, the pains I had been through are the ones I use as motivation. And in my experience, very effective naman po," pahayag ni Lovi.
LOVI'S PAINS. When asked kung anu-anong pains ang mga naranasan niya, ayaw naman niyang magsalita tungkol dito. "Secret na lang po, basta marami po akong pains na pinagdaanan sa buhay ko," giit ni Lovi.
Pero sa kabila raw ng mga pasakit na dinanas na niya, puwede naman daw sabihing masaya ang kanyang childhood life. Normal naman daw ito at nagawa naman niya ang lahat ng mga dapat niyang gawin.
Nang mapunta ang usapan sa yumao niyang ama na si Fernando Poe Jr. at ang mga alaala niya rito, dito na nalungkot si Lovi.
"Hangga't maaari po, ayoko nang magkuwento tungkol sa naging buhay ko sa aking ama," sabi niya. "The last time I talked about it, may mga taong nagalit sa akin kaya ayoko na pong maulit yung experience na 'yon.
"All the memories I have with my father, I just would like to keep to myself para hindi na ako makasagasa ng ibang tao. I respect them kaya para respetuhin din nila ako, I will just not talk about that.
"Ako po kasi yung tipo ng tao na kahit na ano pang gawin at sabihin mong negative sa akin, hindi ako lalaban. Tinatanggap ko ang lahat, but I don't want things to happen again. Kaya nga po, ayoko nang magsalita para hindi na ako ang masaktan in the end.
"Ayoko rin pong gumanti. Kung may mabuti kang nagawa sa akin o kung may masama man, bahala na ang Diyos, I am not the one to judge. I would just want to keep my peace," makahulugang sabi ni Lovi na hindi masabi kung sino ang mga taong pinatutungkulan niya.
Naungkat din ang tungkol sa half-brother niyang si Ronian Poe. "We're okay. We're not that close, pero kapatid ko siya, kuya ko siya. We communicate regularly. I heard he's not here now, but I hope to talk to him when he comes back," nakangiti nang sabi ni Lovi.
LOVI ON LOVE. On the lighter side of things, binanggit din ni Lovi ang tungkol sa kanyang lovelife. Aniya, she already turned 18 but as far as she is concerned, hindi pa siya ready for a relationship.
"Hanggang pakikipag-friends lang po ako, but I am not forbidding anyone who likes me to pursue me. Malinaw naman po 'yan at lagi kong sinasabi sa kanila na hindi pa talaga ako ready," sabi niya.
May panahong na-link siya kay Cogie Domingo at ang paniwala ng lahat, silang dalawa na. Maraming naisulat na si Cogie na talaga ang knight in shining armor niya. Hanggang naging magulo nga ang lahat dahil hindi malaman kung paano biglang pumasok sa eksena si Angel Locsin.
"Cogie told me about it, sabi niya ganyan at ganoon. Ako naman, I am not hurt dahil nga hindi naman kaming dalawa talaga. Sa mga publicities lang 'yon lumalabas, so talagang hindi na ako nagsalita. I felt I have no right, hindi naman talaga kami magkarelasyon ni Cogie," paglilinaw ni Lovi.
