Star Cinema's romantic comedy Kasal, Kasali, Kasalo took
home nine awards in the recently concluded 55th Filipino Academy of Movie Arts
and Sciences (FAMAS) Awards Night that took place last November 25 at the Le
Pavilion, Macapagal Avenue, Pasay City.
Gina Pareño and Judy Ann Santos,
who played mother and daughter in this 2006 Metro Manila Film Festival entry, won Best
Supporting Actress and Best Actress, respectively. Director Jose Javier Reyes
was named Best Director for KKK and also took home the Best Story and Best
Screenplay trophies.
Kasal, Kasali, Kasalo was chosen by FAMAS as Best Picture and awarded Best Theme Song ("Hawak Kamay" by Yeng Constantino); Best Musical
Score (Jesse Lucas); and Best Editing (Vito Cajili).

Garcia, the FAMAS 2007 awards night was attended by only a few celebrities—Gina Pareño, German Moreno,
Direk Celso Ad. Castillo, Jolina Magdangal, Snooky Serna, Gloria Sevilla, and Allen Dizon.
Young actor Mark Anthony Fernandez accepted the Fernando Poe Jr. Memorial Award
in behalf of his father Rudy Fernandez.
