Willing to pay extra ang Forward Films kay Jennylyn Mercado mag-promote lang ang pregnant young actress ng pelikulang Half Blood Samurai.
Nasa Japan ngayon ang OIC ng Forward Films Philippines na si Sonny Maculada, kasama ng kanyang producer-writer-director-star na si Jacky Woo. Babalik sila sa Pilipinas this Wednesday, February 20, dahil ito ang grand one-week promo ng pelikula starring Jacky and Jennylyn. The movie will open first week of March.
Text sa amin ni Sonny, nangangamba siya na baka hindi na naman siputin ni Jennylyn ang presscon na hinahanda nila next week. Matatandaang hindi nakasipot si Jennylyn sa unang presscon ng Half Blood Samurai more than three weeks ago. On her way na raw si Jennylyn from Laguna nang biglang hinarang ng ama ng kanyang magiging anak na si Patrick Garcia kung kaya't napaghintay ni Jennylyn ang lahat.
"I'm hoping Jennylyn will cooperate this time kasi film niya rin naman ito," text message sa amin ni Sonny. "Kung noong una pumirma sila pero hindi sumipot, ngayon pa na wala nang kasulatan? I'm willing to ask her to name her price just to cooperate sa promo."
Samantala, hindi pa man ipinalalabas ang Half Blood Samurai, may kasunod nang project ang Forward Films to be directed either by Louie Ignacio or Gil Tejada.
Noong una, bago pa man magsimula ang shooting ng Half Blood Samurai, naisip na nilang si Jennylyn pa rin ang ikontrata for this follow-up movie. Nag-iba na ang desisyon ng Forward Films.
Malamang na ibigay na raw ang next project either kay Yasmien Kurdi or kay Nadine Samonte. May shoot ito sa Japan at baka makasama rin si Polo Ravales sa movie na magsismula this April.
"In spite of the fact na mahina ngayon ang industriya ng pelikulang Pilipino, patuloy pa rin kaming gagawa ng movies. Para rin naman ito sa kanila, sana makisama rin sila at tumulong sa amin," pahayag ni Sonny.
