"This year talaga magiging active na ako ulit [sa showbiz]," said Krista Ranillo, who is trying to make a comeback this year.
During the event of The Face Shop last week, Krista, daughter of actor Matt Ranillo III, happily told the entertainment media that she finally finished her Inter-Disciplinary course at the Ateneo De Manila University.
With that academic achievement, Krista was pleased to announce that she is returning to her career in show business. "Ito talaga ang gusto kong gawin so baka later na lang. Showbiz pa rin talaga," she said.
Her break from showbiz took almost three years but she somehow managed to appear in some shows in between her busy schedules in school.
Doesn't it bother her that more new talents were discovered during her break from showbiz?
As her comeback movie, Krista would be playing a role in the movie Paupahan , a movie intended for international release. Its English title is Crossroads.
How does she feel working with these big actors?
"I felt very privileged kasi ito yung parang magiging launching film ko. Parang comeback kasi, yun nga, nag-aral ako, 'tapos ngayon ready na naman to work, nag-graduate na," said Krista.
LOVE LIFE. Meanwhile, Krista was also asked about her longtime boyfriend Dominic Zapata, who is also the in-house director for GMA-7. GMA News asked whether they have talked about a wedding.
She added, "Hindi pa at saka marami pa akong gustong gawin. Alam naman niya [Dominic] na I want to be my own person pa, successful in my own career."
Krista also revealed that even her dad is not yet open to the idea of his daughter walking down the aisle. Krista said laughing, "Never talaga, gusto niya mga 50 years old pa. Ganun siya ka-strict. Daddy's girl talaga. Tumatabi pa nga 'yan sa bed ko, e."
When asked if she thinks Direk Dominic is already the man of her life, Krista simply answered, "Sana siya na nga."
