Ginulat ni Geoff Eigenmann ang buong staff ng Lobo sa first taping day niya last Monday, April 21. Ang laki kasi ng ipinayat nito ngayon at bumagay naman sa kanya. Mas gumuwapo tuloy ang latest addition sa cast ng Lobo.
May kinalaman kaya sa role niya bilang si Alex Aragon sa Lobo ang pagpapapayat niya?
"Oh, yeah! It does. Kasi nga trainer ako ni Angel. So, I have to look like someone who's into fighting and martial arts. ‘Tsaka for my personal being na rin, siyempre. Mas maganda kung healthy eating, healthy living. A new side. Yun lang ‘yon pretty much," lahad ni Geoff nang makausap namin siya sa asalto ng birthday ni Angel.
Bukod sa pagkain, isa rin sa mga ginawa ni Geoff para pumayat ay ang boxing sport.
"Puro boxing talaga I've been boxing for about ten months straight now na almost every day. ‘Tapos healthy eating, less oil, all vegetables."
Ilang pounds ba ang nawala sa kanya?
"Ah, since I started about ten months ago... I started 190, now I'm 160, so, 30 pounds... pero yung weight loss nangyari lang nung latter months. So, ano naman, for my personal being talaga. ‘Tsaka maintenance na lang siya."
GEOFF AS ALEX ARAGON. Ano ang naging reaksyon niya noong nakuha na niya finally ang role ni Alex Aragon sa Lobo?
"Ah, siyempre very excited. Kasi ako yung naisip nila for that character. Kasi ang sabi pa nila sa akin I'll be parang in a love triangle with Piolo [Pascual] and Angel. So, just being there with those two big names, ano na, parang big thing talaga siya sa akin.
"'Tsaka, actually with this role, ang daming naging complications, e. Kasi nawala siya sa akin after they told me na ako nga yung magiging si Alex Aragon. Nawala siya sa akin kasi I was supposed to leave for the States.
"Una akong in-offer-an about a month ago. Nagkaroon ng complications because I have to leave for the States ng May. May problem sa scheduling. So, what happened was yung alis namin ng May, napaaga. We left last week. I got back last Sunday. Now I'm taping Lobo."
Pumunta ng Amerika si Geoff for his green card.
"Naayos na namin lahat ‘yon. So now, I'm back here.
"Actually, nawala yung role sa akin. From Gabby Concepcion, to me, ‘tapos nawala sa akin yung role. So, I still had to audition for the role again.
"Nag-reading pa rin ako. Gusto ko talaga siyang gawin. Inayos talaga namin na makaalis ako earlier for the States at makabalik ako agad. I really wanted to be part of this project. Kaya very happy ako na natupad ko yung gusto kong mangyari and sana nga I do justice to the role. A very big role.
"Kasi si Alex, ano siya sa story, one of the direct descendants of one of the first Lobos in the old days. So, nasa amin yung family lineage and all that. And ako dapat yung chosen one pero ang totoo talaga, si Angel."
FALLING IN LOVE WITH ANGEL. Speaking of Angel, posible bang ma-in love siya kay Angel off-cam?
"Bakit naman hindi? She's very beautiful, she's very talented... Ah, she's very down-to-earth. So, bakit naman hindi? Given the chance, it's very possible."
Ano ang birthday wish niya kay Angel?
"Siyempre I wish her all the best, kasi she truly deserves everything she has now and she deserves more. So, I wish all the best and more blessings to come."
Kumusta naman ang lovelife ni Geoff?
"Still non-existent. Pero happy pa rin. I'm happy living my life on my own. I'm happy with life."
May mga nagsasabi na hawig si Geoff kay Gabby. Aware ba siya na may resemblance sila ni Gabby?
"Wow! Flaterring. Siyempre Gabby Concepcion ‘yan, e."
Have they met?
"Yeah, I've already met him. We actually had dinner at my Aunt's [Cherrie Gil] house. Nagka-dinner kami lahat. Some old friends were there, sina Al Tantay, Amy Austria, Gabby was there. He met the family."
Napag-usapan ba nila ang tungkol sa role niya sa Lobo at ang hindi pagkakatuloy ni Gabby sa teleserye?
"Actually, wala. We didn't really get to talk. It was more of a bonding nila, my dad [Michael de Mesa], my aunt, bonding-bonding sila. Kami, we were just there to meet him, welcome him back," pagtatapos ni Geoff.
