Ibinalita ng dating manager ni Glady Guevarra na si Jun Nardo sa column nito sa Abante ngayong araw, May 20, na hiwalay na ang comedienne sa Fil-Am boyfriend nitong si Phillip Peredo.
Kasalukuyang nasa New Jersey si Jun para sa 4th Pinoy Expo at doon sila nagkita ni Phillip. Mismong si Phillip ang nagkumpirma sa dating manager ni Gladys na break na sila ng comedienne, na nasa California ngayon. Two months na raw hiwalay sina Gladys at Phillip.
According to Phillip, ang dahilan ng paghihiwalay nila ni Gladys ay nagkaroon sila ng "differences," pero ayaw na nitong magbigay ng detalye. Bagama't split na sila, sinabi ni Phillip na nagti-text pa rin daw sila ni Gladys.
Ibinalita rin ni Phillip na may bago nang boyfriend si Gladys na taga-California.
"The guy is older than Gladys, she told me. She said she's happy with her new boyfriend. That's good for her," sabi ni Phillip kay Jun.
Dagdag ni Phillip, gusto raw balikan ni Gladys ang kanyang showbiz career.
Matatandaang iniwan ni Gladys ang kanyang magandang showbiz career dito sa Pilipinas last year para sundan si Phillip sa Amerika.
Unang nagkita ang dalawa May last year nang mag-show ang comedienne sa New Jersey para sa Pinoy Expo. Whirlwind romance ang nangyari sa kanila at nang magkaroon ng show sa Los Angeles last August 2007 si Gladys, pinuntahan talaga siya ni Phillip doon.
Nang si Phillip naman ang pumunta sa Pilipinas, two weeks din siyang nanatili sa bansa. Magkasabay na silang pumunta ng New Jersey last August 18, kung saan magkasama silang nanirahan sa isang condo.
Sa panayam noon ng GMA News reporter at PEP contributor na si Nelson Canlas kay Gladys, sinabi ng comedienne kung gaano siya kasaya sa piling ni Phillip.
"I'm just so happy when I'm with him. Iba, e! Basta masaya ako, yung totoong saya!" sambit ni Gladys.
Noon namang November 16, 2007 ay bumalik ng Pilipinas si Gladys. Akala ng lahat ay ire-resume niya ang kanyang showbiz career sa GMA-7 ngunit nagulat ang lahat—pati na ang manager niya noong si Jun Nardo—nang maging isa siya sa housemates sa Pinoy Big Brother Celebrity Edition Season 2 ng ABS-CBN.
Sa isang interview ay sinabi ni Gladys na kaya siya pumasok sa Bahay ni Kuya ay para makita siya ng kanyang boyfriend that time na si Phillip sa TCF (The Filipino Channel). Ngunit ilang buwan pagkatapos nito ay nagdesisyon din sina Gladys at Phillip na tapusin na ang kanilang relasyon.
