In denial ang young singer-actress na si Sarah Geronimo sa grand launching ng Belo Essentials last Monday, May 19, na na-upstage niya ang tatlong naunang celebrity endorsers nito na sina Regine Velasquez, Lucy Torres-Gomez, at Zsa Zsa Padilla sa talent fee at TV commercial.
"Hindi naman po in-upstage," nakangiting sabi ni Sarah sa PEP (Philippine Entertainment Portal). "Kasi po ang goal ng Belo ngayon is to reach out mga younger people. So yun po."
Mismong si Dr. Vicki Belo ng Belo Essentials ang nagkumpirma na mas malaki ang talent fee ni Sarah kina Regine, Zsa Zsa, at Lucy dahil libre raw ang serbisyo ng tatlong naunang endorsers nila.
"Kasi libre nga raw po sila kasi mga friends ni Dra. Belo," sambit ni Sarah.
Pero si Sarah ay hindi raw libre. Magkano ang talent fee niya? May P5 million ba?
"Tanungin n'yo po si Boss Vic [del Rosario, Sarah's manager]. Hindi ko po alam. Actually, hindi ko po talaga alam," sagot ng young singer-actress.
NO SURGERIES, PLEASE. Facial care lang daw ang ipagagawa niya sa clinic ni Dr. Vicki Belo at hindi surgical procedures.
"Ay, huwag! Masasaktan lang ako," sabi ng dalaga. "Pero nakaka-tempt. Nakaka-tempt po talaga kasi magaganda yung mga nakikita mo. Pero nandiyan po ang parents ko para gabayan ako and kailangan maging kuntento rin, e."
Paano kung okay lang sa kanyang mga magulang na may ipagawa siya?
"Siguro konting dito lang," sabay hawak niya sa kanyang pisngi at pag-pout ng lips.
"Hindi, joke lang po," bigla niyang bawi.
Meron daw tinamaan sa sinabi ni Sarah na singer siya at hindi sexy star para magparetoke pa ng mukha at katawan.
"Hindi ko naman po mini-mean na magpatama. Sa akin lang po yung sa sarili ko. Yung point of view ko, yung prinsipyo ko, yun lang po," depensa niya.
MOVIE WITH JOHN LLOYD. Tuluy-tuloy naman ang shooting ni Sarah ng first movie niya under Star Cinema with John Lloyd Cruz na naka-schedule ipalabas on June 25.
Kuwento ni Sarah, "Para po siyang The Devil Wears Prada. I work for him [John Lloyd] sa isang malaking kumpanya."
Ang role ba ni John Lloyd sa movie nila ay tulad ng character ni Meryl Streep sa nabanggit na Hollywood movie kasama si Anne Hathaway?
"May pagkaganun. Yes po. Tapos parang pinapahirapan niya ako," sagot ni Sarah.
"From the beginning pa lang, mahal na mahal ko siya kaya binibigay ko ang lahat. Binibigay ako ang lahat para sa kanya hanggang sa nalaman ko... Ay, nagkwento na!" natatawang sabi ni Sarah nang maalala na sinasabi na niya ang plot ng wala pang title na pelikula nila.
Ano ang reaksiyon ni Sarah sa mga nagsasabi na inagawan niya si Bea Alonzo ng ka-love team?
"Ay, hindi naman po. Para maiba lang. Something new."
