"Pero there was no rule to me. I didn't understand that. And I knew naman talaga that if I was going to bring my boyfriend and my mom, dapat hindi maapektuhan ang work, which is what happened.
"I'm sure that the people from Wowowe who came with us, they can attest to it na hindi ko naman napabayaan ang work ko. I was never late. I was never absent for any rehearsal, for any TV guesting, for the show itself. I did my best. I gave my best. So, surprise lang talaga ako doon sa reason nila sa pagtanggal sa akin because I brought my boyfriend and my mom along," pahayag ni Lara.
Hindi raw alam ni Lara na may rule sa Wowowee na bawal magdala ng boyfriend sa trip. Nilinaw ni Boy kay Lara na hindi company rule ng ABS-CBN ang hindi pagdadala ng boyfriend o girlfriend sa mga show. Pero bawat programa raw sa Kapamilya Network ay may house rule na tinatawag.
Itinanggi naman ni Lara ang lumabas na report na naging sagabal sa kanyang pagtatrabaho ang pagbitbit niya sa kanyang non-showbiz boyfriend.
"The only time they saw my mom and my boyfriend was at the last day ng stay namin sa Hawaii. Only in the airport na nga lang, tapos nung nasa airport. My mom didn't even watch the show para lang wala silang masabi. Kasi I was told, okay if they are coming, kung sasama sila, huwag na lang silang magpakita. Don't let them come with you in the rehearsal or anything like that. And that was they did," lahad ni Lara.
UNPROFESSIONAL? Iginiit din ni Lara na hindi siya naging unprofessional at wala ring public display of affection na ginawa si Lara with her boyfriend.
"Wala lahat katotohanan [ang mga lumabas]," sabi niya. "You know, I don't mind talaga, e. I can keep quiet, e. Pero, di ba, sa lahat nga kapag naapaketuhan na yung business mo, and this is my career. Feeling ko, naapektuhan ‘to talaga because of the false accusations, sa mga articles about me being unprofessional. About me parang lumaki na ang ulo and everything like that. No, talaga po, Tito Boy.
"Like for example, lumaki ang aking ulo... It's just... I planned not to cry, but I think I will, unintentionally. Kasi talaga ako, when I work, I give my all. I never want to be late. If they'll give me a call time at 4 o'clock, I'll be there at 3:30 or 3 o'clock kasi ayoko na may masabi yung tao sa akin, which is very hurtful na may mga narinig akong ganyan sa mga bagay, especially from people that I know. So, that's the only thing. Yun lang.
"With Binibining Pilipinas, binibigyan ko raw sila ng headache? No! I still have a good relationship with them. I still go there a lot of times. Sa That's My Doc daw, bawal daw mag-holding hands and everything. If you watch the show, I don't know, you'll see that we hug. We do everything in the air," pagtatanggol ni Lara.
Nasasaktan daw si Lara dahil at stake dito ang kanyang career at mahal niya ang kanyang trabaho.
Sa gitna ng kaguluhang ito, inalam ni Kuya Boy kung ano ang naging reaksiyon ng kanyang non-showbiz boyfriend.
"Siyempre, he's hurt din talaga," sagot ni Lara. "Siguro in a way, he's not telling me. Pero I'm sure he feels a little bit guilty, kasi parang all of these, e, because of him. Pero he's just there to support me."
LIFE AFTER WOWOWEE. Saan sa tingin niya patungo ang kanyang showbiz career?
"I have a lot of plans, Tito Boy," sagot ni Lara. "I have a lot of dreams and I know that this is not the end of it. Wowowee...even though you won't see me in that show anymore, I know there's a lot more in store for me. Totoo talaga yung everything happens for a reason. Lahat ng bagay nangyayari because it's meant to happen. And I know that God put me in a place where I should be."
Firm din ang naging pahayag ni Lara na hindi na siya babalik sa Wowowee just in case bigyan siya ulit ng pagkakataong makabalik sa noontime show.
