Actress Danica Sotto has given birth to her first child, a baby boy, with husband Marc Pingris earlier today, June 26, at 11:40 a.m. The young couple has named their son, Jean-Michele—a French-sounding name attributed to Marc's French bloodline.

The announcement of Danica's delivery was made during the game of Purefoods in the PBA (Philippine Basketball Association). Marc is one of the star players of the said professional basketball team.

Danica gave birth a few days before her expected date, July 4. She had to deliver via caesarean section because of the size of her baby, who weighed 8 lbs.

Danica is the daughter of Vic Sotto and Dina Bonnevie.
