Two primetime series ended their run last Friday, July 11: GMA-7's Joaquin Bordado starring Robin Padilla and ABS-CBN's Lobo featuring Piolo Pascual and Angel Locsin.

Joaquin Bordado, which ran for exactly five months, posted a rating of 40.8 percent behind consistent leader Dyesebel's 41 percent. Meanwhile, Lobo, which lasted almost six months, generated a rating of 24.4 percent to land at No. 6

Because the last episode of Joaquin Bordado ran for over an hour, it went up against The Singing Bee (No. 5), which posted a rating of 25.2 percent, and a portion of Lobo.

Ako Si Kim Samsoon and 24 Oras occupied the third and fourth spots, respectively.

In the daytime race, Eat Bulaga! grabbed the upper hand with 22.8 percent while Kapuso soaps Magdusa Ka and Gaano Kadalas ang Minsan tied at No. 2 with identical 20.5 percent.

Completing the Top 5 are Daisy Siete (19.1 percent), El Cuerpo del Deseo (17.3 percent), and Wowowee (15.7 percent).

Eat Bulaga! also topped the daytime race last Saturday, July 12, with 21.7 percent; followed by Wish Ko Lang (19.2 percent), Cinema FPJ (19.1 percent), Pinoy Records (17.3 percent). Takeshi's Castle and Wowowee tied at fifth place with identical 15.8 percent.

The primetime race was ruled by Kapuso Mo, Jessica Soho with 31.1 percent. Coming in second was Bitoy's Funniest Videos followed by Imbestigador, Pinoy Dream Academy, and Pinoy Idol to complete the Top 5.

ABS-CBN's musical-variety show ASAP '08 topped the daytime race last Sunday, July 13, by virtue of its 16.8 percent rating. Its rival program, SOP, came in second with 14.8 percent.

GMA-7's showbiz talk show Showbiz Central placed third with 13.3 percent; followed by Your Song (12.5 percent) and The Buzz (11.6 percent).

Pinoy Idol, meanwhile, became the top primetime program for the first time by getting a 23.6 percent rating. Another singing-talent search, Pinoy Dream Academy, tied with Mel & Joey at No. 2 with identical 23.2 percent rating.

Completing the Top 5 are Kap's Amazing Stories, Goin' Bulilit, and All Star K.

ABS-CBN's special documentary, Kidnap, which recounted the kidnapping of Ces Drilon and her cameramen by the Aby Sayyaf, placed ninth with its 13.6 percent rating.
