Gloria Diaz says she will never be a stage mother to daughter Isabelle

Gloria says it is not yet time for the Philippines to win the Miss Universe crown again.

"I always tell her, if anybody likes her it's fine with me, as long as they are good people, as long as they love her. Never go with a man because you love them, go with them because they really love you," says Gloria Diaz about how she advises daughter Isabelle.

"My mother wasn't a stage mother, she let me do what I wanna do," sabi ni Gloria. "I think in the same way, I have lots of unsolicited advice for [Isabelle]. But at the end, I'll say to her, ‘I'll just stay home and have a massage, I trust you and you can do it.'"

"No, I just molded her to make sure that she'll take care of me in my old days. Isabelle can do whatever she wants to do. It's up to her if she wants to be a beauty queen, an actress, or a model. She can dance, she can act, but can she do it well? That would be the 90-dollar question."

"I always tell her, if anybody likes her it's fine with me, as long as they are good people, as long as they love her. Never go with a man because you love them, go with them because they really love you."

You're never sure no matter how beautiful you are. I think our contestant was beautiful, but it's like a lotto; not just because you choose the 7 or the 8, you're gonna win, it needs lot of luck. Just be there, you're already a winer.

"Actualy I was not aware of the controversy, it was just in the latter part that I became aware of it. But I could say when I went to their clinic, I was surprised na mayroon palang ganito dito, ganito kalinis and all the doctors are really legit doctors. This is not a beauty parlor, this is a real clinic with wholesome people."
