Eric Quizon describes the autobiography of his father, Comedy King Dolphy (in photo): "It's a life story of my dad basically. It
encapsulates 80 years of his life from childhood... You know, during the
second World War, from the time he did radio, television, movies. From the
time he lived-in with his first wife and had six kids, to the second, to the
third and to Zsa Zsa."

80 YEARS OF THE COMEDY KING.
"It's a life story of my dad basically. It encapsulates 80 years of his life from childhood... You know, during the second World War, from the time he did radio, television, movies. From the time he lived-in with his first wife and had six kids, to the second, to the third and to Zsa Zsa," paglalarawan ni Eric sa libro ng kanyang ama.
"I have no wish for him for this year but for me, he deserves the best," sabi niya. "I made sure that this book was achieved, it's not a dream. This [Dolphy's children] is our gift to him basically.
"It's interesting because there's a certain thing that I've learned about my dad that I never knew before. So, it was a learning experience also. I got to know my dad more, understood him for what he is and who he is. He is always been a loving, caring, and supportive father. He's always there for you, and he's not only a father, he's always a friend to all of us. I wrote this in the book, for me, I consider him my hero."
TELLING DOLPHY'S STORY.
"Kaming mga magkakapatid, we produced the book and I was the one who brought it. 'Yong libro, gagawin dapat 'yan noong 78th birthday ng dad ko, pero last year, we were able to convince him to push through with the book.
"Reason niya kasi, marami na siyang nasaktan na ayaw na niyang masaktan muli. 'Yon ang naging reason niya and, actually, he's just fair to our mothers. And finally we decided, you know, instead of stories to tell, then people will still talk about it, we might as well use my own words to tell my story.
It's clear now na kailangan lang pala naming mag-usap-usap. The book actually strengthened the relationship of the whole family," pahayag ni Epi.
TRIBUTE TO THE KING OF COMEDY.
"We want to honor Dolphy. We want to honor the man whose contribution, not only for the Philippine movie industry or Philippine television but... My God, this man made us laugh for more than half a century, di ba?
"I think it's just but right to pay tribute to his talent. We will show the man that is Dolphy through the years. It's his birthday and it's about time that the industry will pay tribute to the one great Dolphy," pahayag ng ABS-CBN lady chief.
