Warren Antig is the latest finalist to be eliminated in Pinoy Idol. With his exit, only five remaining finalists will move on to the next round before the grand finals on August 17.

Pinoy Idol changed its decision to boot out two hopefuls that surprised even the judges.

Hindi inulit ng host ng Pinoy Idol na si Raymond Gutierrez ang makahulugang statement na "the biggest elimination will happen in Pinoy Idol" sa simula ng show kahapon, August 3. Although right then and there, pinalitan niya ito ng isang bagong balita, that there will be a three-way fight sa grand finals ng Pinoy Idol na gaganapin sa SM Mall of Asia SMX this August 16 with the announcement of winners the following day, August 17. Idiniin ni Raymond na tumaas na naman ang grand prize ng first Pinoy Idol, now at P5.7 million.

Middle of the show nang naiwan na lang ang finalists na sina Warren Antig, Jayann Bautista, at Ram Chavez. Then, diretsong tinanggal si Warren who gave his greatest performance naman sa kanyang farewell song that gave him a standing ovation from the other booted out Idols na nanood nang live sa CenterStage yesterday.

Ram's father, who just got home from Dubai, was there to support his son.

Raymond then dropped the bombshell: there will be no other elimination that will happen. Instead, it was officially announced that by the next elimination night on August 10, dalawa na ang tatanggalin.

Joining Jayann and Ram in the next round are Daryl Celis, KId Camaya, and Gretchen Espina.
