Actors Gabby Concepcion and Richard Gutierrez were both offered a new role—to become the country's ambassadors for peace.
According to TV Patrol World's reportaired last night, September 20, Presidential Peace Adviser Hermogenes Esperon Jr. issued the invitation to the two actors during the ‘Run for Peace' activity, which was part of the nationwide observance of Peace Month held every September.
Gabby and Richard joined more than 4,000 participants of the 10-kilometer fun run from Quirino Grandstand in Manila to the Cultural Center in Pasay City and back to the grandstand.
Gabby was amenable to the idea of being the country's peace ambassador. Likewise, Richard stated his desire to end the armed conflicts in the country so we can move forward.
The two actors are now in the same league as Robin Padilla and Manny Pacquiao, who were recognized as Ambassadors of Peace during the Global Peace Festival in 2007.
