Web designer and mountaineer Gigit Sulit becomes the third castaway to be voted out from Survivor Philippines after receiving all the votes from his tribemates.

The members of the Jarakay tribe made a last ditch effort for alliances as they made their first trip to the Tribal Council in tonight's episode of Survivor Philippines. In the end, they unanimously decided to let go of web designer and mountaineer Gigit Sulit, 8 to 1.

Before the Tribal Council, the Jarakay tribe was in limbo as to who they would vote out when one of their members, auto mechanic John Lopez, collapsed after their team lost the Immunity Challenge. John was rushed to the nearest hospital for treatment. Per Survivor rule, in case of medical emergency or injury, if a castaway does not recover within 24 hours, he is removed from the game automatically.

But while the Jarakay tribe members discuss whom they will vote out after John's hospitalization, John returned to the game, to the disappointment of others, particularly Charisse Yacapin and Patani Daño. John relayed to his tribemates that he collapsed due to a low potassium level.

With John's return, an old alliance was reborn and a new one was born.

During the Tribal Council, host Paolo Bediones asked the Jarakay tribe to talk about each member of their tribe while the one being talked about was asked to leave the area.

After this, Paolo asked Jarakay to vote out one of their members. And after Paolo counted the votes, Gigit became the third person to be voted out from Survivor Philippines.

Gigit was considered as a threat and accused of manipulating his tribemates to his advantage.

In his exit interview, Gigit said that with his ouster, the Jarakay tribe will lose its "competitive edge" because he provides "strong and viable support."

Gigit is the oldest castaway at 49.

When the rest of the Jarakay tribe thought that they are heading back to their camp after voting out Gigit, Paolo announced that they will have to stay a little bit longer. In a teaser for Monday's episode, October 6, the Jarakay tribe will have to vote again. Although it was not clear if they will vote someone out again, Paolo said in his voice-over that the Castaway Productions allows double elimination in one Tribal Council.
