Once a year lang ang Valentine's Day, pero tulad ng ibang okasyon tulad ng Kapaskuhan, normal na kasabihang hindi naman dapat na sa mismong February 14 lang dapat i-celebrate ang Valentine's or tuwing araw lang na ito dapat maging sweet sa iyong minamahal.
Pero aminin, ang Valentine's Day ang isa sa masarap sariwain at alalahanin palagi dahil nandiyan ang kilig at kakaibang experience with your special someone kapag sumasapit ang mismong araw na ito.
Some of our celebrities have their most memorable Valentine's, too. In fact, some of them go back pa during their high school days, mereseng "puppy love" lang ito or simpleng pagkakaroon ng crush pero, iba ang naging impact sa buhay nila.
So, here's the list of our celebs and their most memorable Valentine's Day.
JAKE CUENCA. "Siyempre, kay Roxanne [Guinoo] kasi, birthday rin niya yun kaya double celebration kami noong mga panahong yun. Siyempre, back then, nandito ang pamilya ko, nandito rin ang pamilya niya. So, we divided our time para sa dalawang pamilya. Sa akin, yun na ang pinaka-romantic na naaalala ko."
RUFA MAE QUINTO. "Alam nyo, kapag Valentine's, nagsu-show ako, ever since 'yan. So, wala akong masyadong matandaan. Well, yung kami ni Erik [Santos] pa, may successful show na kayo, 'tapos, magka-date pa kayo."
DINGDONG DANTES. "Most memorable Valentine? Hindi kasi ako nagse-celebrate ng Valentine's Day. Pero kapag nagpaplano ako ng Valentine's date, natutuloy, pero, may palpak na nangyayari. Para sa akin, I would like to consider every day as Valentine's Day."
RUFFA GUTIERREZ. "My God, parang wala akong ma-remember sa dami! Ano nga ba? I think, it's when me and Yilmaz went to Phuket [Thailand], nag-stay kami sa Canyon suites. Surprise niya yun para sa akin. It was year 2002, so, yun talaga, very memorable."
JC DE VERA. "Wala, e...usual lang...hindi kasi ako romantic. So, usual dinner date lang. May gift, may flowers, yun lang."
ASSUNTA DE ROSSI. "Most memorable Valentine's Day ko, noong meron kaming mga nakilalang friends sa Internet na kinita namin ng asawa ko sa U.P. Nag-date kami, ang dami namin. Nagse-surf si Jules [Ledesma] sa Internet, may nakita siyang blog, tinitira siya. Ang ginawa niya, sinagot niya. Mga taga-U.P. sila.
"Kinita namin sila kasi, hindi sila makapaniwala na siya yung sumagot sa blog. So, sabi niya, papatunayan namin na pagdating ng Valentine's Day, makikipagkita kami. So, ang dami nila. Nang makita nila kami, they were all shocked, talagang jaw dropped! Wala na...naging mga kaibigan na namin."
JUDY ANN SANTOS. "Lahat ng Valentine's Day ko for the past three years ang pinaka-memorable... Kasama na siya sa holidays ko. Binibigyan ko na lang ng mga roses kasama ko sa trabaho, mula direktor hanggang crew nung wala pa 'kong ka-Valentine's."
PAULEEN LUNA. "Most memorable Valentine's Day ko was last year. It was the only year that I celebrated it with someone. I spent it with Mayor [Sherwin Gatchalian] and may event sa Valenzuela, so, I accompanied him. It's always the company naman, not the venue that's important. Then we celebrated na lang another day."
IWA MOTO. "Last year Valentine's Day ang pinaka-memorable sa akin. Nag-dinner kami sa Heat ni Mickey [Ablan, her boyfriend], dinner lang yun pero very memorable sa akin kasi, kaming dalawa ang magkasama."
SUNSHINE DIZON. "Nagkakataon lang naman po siguro pero magti-three years na 'ko na walang date pag Valentine's. Single ako madalas pag V-day. Last year yata magkakasama kami nina Iza [Calzado]. Nanood lang ng show ni Karylle."
SAY ALONZO. "Pinaka-memorable Valentine's Day? Yung mga Valentine's Day na nasa States ako, high school pa ako, grade 10 'ata wala akong boyfriend and usung-uso na pag Feb 14, puwede magpadala ng flowers, candy or chocolate sa last class of the day...Siyempre, alam ko talaga na wala akong matatanggap, pero tinawag ako ng teacher kasi meron din daw akong gift. Nakita ko na pinadalahan ako ng flowers ng lola at lolo ko, pinadala pa sa classroom ko. Ang sweet!"
CHYNNA ORTALEZA. "Valentine's Day in Tagaytay with Railey [Valeroso, her boyfriend]... Kasi pareho naming gustung-gusto ang Tagaytay and we had a really great date there. Nag-eat kami ng simple dinner and we are both happy with each other's company. Simple things and celebrations like this make me happy."
MARIAN RIVERA. "Wala, e, hindi kasi ako nakikipag-date kapag ganyan. Dinadalaw lang ako sa bahay, flowers lang, chocolates, ganyan lang. Pero, hindi ako nakikipag-date sa labas. Wala pa talaga yung kakaiba. Puro ganoon lang."
JC TIUSECO. "Hindi po talaga 'ko sanay na nagse-celebrate ng Valentine's Day na may mga surprises. Wala lang po, more on simple stuff lang po. Naniniwala po kasi ako na hindi naman po kailangang sa Valentine's lang puwedeng ipakita yung sweetness, any day naman po, puwede naman pong gawin. So, hindi ko kino-consider yung Valentine's Day na parang special sa ibang araw."
CLAUDINE BARRETTO. "Hindi kasi kami nagse-celebrate ng Valentine's Day mismo. Wala lang, parang hindi lang talaga namin nakaugalian. Unang-una, mahirap din kasing makipagsabayan, parang ang daming lumalabas that day, puno ang mga venues at saka, ma-traffic."
