The battle for primetime supremacy rages on as ABS-CBN programs continue to pose a serious threat to GMA-7 shows. In fact, last Wednesday, March 11, Kapamilya network surged ahead when three of its programs invaded the Top 5, including the first two slots.
Explosive drama Tayong Dalawa became the No. 1 primetime program with 32 percent, while romantic comedy I Love Betty La Fea took the second spot with 29.1 percent. Family drama May Bukas Pa placed fourth with 28.9 percent.
Former No. 1 Totoy Bato of GMA-7 dropped to third place with 29 percent.
Other Kapuso shows—24 Oras, Ang Babaeng Hinugot Sa Aking Tadyang and All About Eve—occupied the fifth to seventh places, respectively.
The rest of the slots were taken by SNN, Fated To Love You, and TV Patrol World.
Eat Bulaga!, on the other hand, was the the runaway winner in the daytime race with 31.3 percent. The longest-running noontime show in the country replayed their special tribute to its former "dabarkads" Francis Magalona, who passed away last March 6. The remains of the Master Rapper were cremated and interred on the day the tribute was shown again, March 11.
Kapuso afternoon soaps Paano Ba ang Mangarap? and Dapat Ka Bang Mahalin? came in second and third with 22.4 percent and 22.3 percent, respectively.
The rating of GMA-7 morning show SiS shot up to 20.8 percent, thanks to its coverage on Francis Magalona's internment, to take the No. 4 slot.
It was followed by Daisy Siete, Pilipinas, Game KNB?, Lalola, Wowowee, Slamdunk, and Pokemon Master Quest.
Last Tuesday, March 10, Totoy Bato topped the primetime race with 31.8 percent, closely followed by Tayong Dalawa with 31.6 percent.
Occupying the rest of the Top 5 are 24 Oras (29.9 percent), Ang Babaeng Hinugot Sa Aking Tadyang (29.1 percent), and I Love Betty La Fea (29 percent).
Completing the Top 10 are May Bukas Pa, All About Eve, TV Patrol World, SNN: Showbiz News Ngayon, and Fated To Love You.

After its modest opening last Monday (March 9), new GMA-7 primetime soap All About Eve posted its highest rating last night, March 12, with 30.6 percent. This helped propel its ranking to second place behind Totoy Bato's 31.2 percent.
After its first-place finish the previous night, Tayong Dalawa slipped to third place with 30.5 percent, followed by 24 Oras (29.2 percent) and Ang Babaeng Hinugot Sa Aking Tadyang (28.9 percent).
