PEP (Philippine Entertainment Portal) witnessed how actor Paolo Paraiso rejoiced when he found out that his second son was born.

Around 4 p.m. today, April 22, Paolo immediately got up from the sunbed located in front of Sun Village Beach Resort in Boracay after reading a text message. And then he excitedly told the people who were with him at that time: "It's a boy!  It's a boy!" 

Paolo then made a series of phone calls and texts to his relatives.

When PEP had a chance for an interview, Paolo related that his former girlfriend, Mylene Dizon, had a normal delivery for their second son, Lucas Miguel. Paolo said that he was surprised because hours before the good news, he was still talking to Mylene, who was admitted to a hospital in Chicago.

He narrated, "Kanina, nag-i-Skype kami, nag-uusap kami through webcam noong pinasok siya sa ospital. Dapat check lang, 'tapos pinasok na sa ospital hanggang sa dire-diretso na. 

"Tapos supposedly dapat by Monday [April 27], diretso na ako doon pero hindi ko na pala maabutan talaga. 'Yong plano kong May na pupunta, napaaga na nang napaaga hanggang sa ngayon na nanganak na siya."

Paolo said that incidents like this cannot be avoided, but he is happy about it. 

He also explained why he couldn't leave the country immediately. "May mga kailangan din kasi akong tapusin dito na mga taping at mga iba pang commitment. Kaya right after noon, lipad na ako. Nagawan ko ng paraan yung iba na makakaalis ako earlier," he said.

Paolo couldn't give anymore details about his new baby since Mylene had just given birth. "Wala pa akong details as in kaka-text pa lang sa akin. Siguro kapag natanggal na ang pagka-groggy niya, mate-text na niya sa akin yung details," he said.

Now that they have their second child, will they get back together as a couple?

Paolo said he and Mylene have not talked about it yet.  "Mahirap pa yung kasi nandito pa ako, nandoon siya.  Yung mga ganyang tanong mahirap kasi hindi natin alam kung ano ang mangyayari doon. Ngayon, ang focus pa lang namin ay wine-welcome naming si Lucas and yung mga ganyan ay pag-uusapan naming siguro sometime in the future pa," he said.

In the end, he assured the media that although they're not together as a couple, "Magkaibigan kami, we're good friends. Sabi ko nga, we're parents to Tomas and Lucas."
