Joey Marquez finally expressed his feelings about his ex-wife Alma Moreno's March 21 wedding to Marawi City mayor Fahad Salic. In an exclusive interview of Showbiz Central held at the story conference of Adik Sa 'Yo, Joey spoke up for the first time about the wedding.

 
"Actually ako naman ang nagsabi na hindi naman kailangan magpaalam sa akin kung ano man yun," Joey said. "Basta mapaganda ang buhay niya at puso niya, e, masaya ako. Sabi ko nga parati na ang pagpapaalam, e, hindi naman natural yun, e."

Joey added that Alma indeed informed him that she was going to get married. Although separated for some time now, Joey said that he will never stop caring for the woman he once loved.

"Para sa mga bata," Joey pointed out. "Sabi ko lang na kahit anong mangyari... Whether we like it or not, siya pa rin ang nanay ng mga anak ko. Nagco-communicate kami pero communication namin tungkol sa mga bata lang."

Joey also took this opportunity to clarify rumors that he took back the car he had given Alma.

"Wala naman akong binigay, e, paano babawiin ko?" laughed Joey. When asked about the car, he quipped, "Wala, wala. Ako nga manghihiram sa kanya, e. Ako nga pinakamasaya kasi she found a new love."
