It’s been seven months since Anne Curtis broke up with Sam Milby, and this is the longest that the actress has gone without a significant other. While Anne has almost always had a boyfriend and was caught up in long-term relationships, she is not in a rush to find someone new.

“When you break up with someone, you have that point of not being okay with being single. You don’t want to be single,” she admits in the May issue of Cosmopolitan, “[Being single] is something new, but it’s something I’m enjoying.”

Getting over the much-publicized breakup hasn’t been easy, as Anne says, “It’s been seven months and it’s still the same issue… At some point, I really have to tone it down, because I can’t seem to get out of it. That’s what makes it hard nga.” She is determined to pull herself together, and while she says that it’s normal to drink and go out as a way to beat the depression, “You just decide, enough na. You just decide to be happy.”

Anne seems to be happy as a single gal, but Cosmo can’t help but beg the question: is she dating?

“I don’t know what dating dating is,” she says, “It’s so awkward for me now, to get into this whole thing, because I also don’t want them to get the wrong idea. I don’t think I’m just ready to get into something. I’m just enjoying my time with my friends.”
