"I feel glad and I feel excited. I feel honored and flattered that na-offer sa akin ito. Not in my wildest dream na I would end up as a host of Who Wants To Be A Millionaire?," says Vic Sotto.

You know what 's fun with it? Ang maganda sa Who Wants To Be A Millionaire?, kahit nanonood ka lang, you get to participate, e.
"And you as a viewer, you get to cheer the contestant. And this time, meron pa kaming i-introduce na texting game also for the home viewers, in the episodes to come," pahayag ni Vic nang ma-interview siya ng PEP (Philippine Entertainment Portal) at iba pang entertainment press sa presscon ng Who Wants To Be A Millionaire? na ginanap kahapon, May 14, sa Katre Restaurant, Dr. Lazcano St., Quezon City.
Base ang Who Wants To Be A Millionaire? sa original British format, kung saan maglalaban-laban ang mga contestants from all over the country para makaabot sa "hot seat," at doon magsisimula ang pag-akyat sa million-peso jackpot by answering 15 multiple choice questions correctly.
The Audience, 50/50, at Phone a Friend options.
Mapapanood ang Who Wants To Be A Millionaire? tuwing Sabado, 6 p.m., simula sa May 23 sa TV5.
Bukod sa paninibago sa hosting dahil first game show nga niya ito, ayon kay Vic ay naninibago rin siya sa pananamit dahil madalas na naka-amerikana siya or formal wear sa Who Wants To Be A Millionaire?.
"Pogi ako dito!" tawa niya. "Amerikana pa lang, ulam na. May stylist ako rito. Yung buhok ko, naka-wax. Nanibago rin ako. Siyempre sanay tayo sa casual. Just doing my thing in Eat Bulaga!.
"First game show ko ito, aside from the games na meron kami sa Bulaga. Plus the fact na I believe Who Wants To Be A Millionaire? started it all, e, dun sa new breed of game shows. Everybody followed. But of course, they always say na the original is always the best. It's still the best game show ever."
Who Wants To Be A Millionaire?
"Yes, I am," sagot niya. "I feel glad and I feel excited. I feel honored and flattered that na-offer sa akin ito. Not in my wildest dream na I would end up as a host of Who Wants To Be A Millionaire?."
BATTLE OF GAME SHOW HOSTS.
"Hindi naman, kasi ito namang Who Wants To Be A Millionaire?, merong siyang bible that we have to follow technically. They have the camera shots. As much as possible, we have to follow the original format, the way the host will handle the game as a whole. Yung relationship sa contestants.
"Mabalik tayo kay Boyet [Christopher]... Sabi ko nga, I was an avid viewer of the show. I was watching him before. And in fairness kay Boyet, he did a good job.
But whatever it is, hindi ko naman iniisip yung awards-awards. Basta ang iniisip ko, ang importante, we would be able to come up at par dun sa nakalagay sa bible. And I'm just proud and happy to tell you na we got very good feedback from the British representatives after the pilot taping last night [May 13]. Masaya, masaya sila."
Mahirap pala.'
"So, after quite a number of sit-downs and meetings, parang pre-production stuff, when I finally came to the studio to do rehearsals, with mock contestants, mock audience, dun ko naramdaman yung pressure. It was quite complicated. Pero after last night [May 13], para kaming nabunutan ng tinik after getting positive feedback from the British representatives."
