Internet celebrities Moymoy Palaboy, the duo known for their lip-synching antics on web videos, show that there's more to just being funny. They can also stand up for their friends.

In a taped interview with Showbiz Central yesterday, June 7, Moymoy Palaboy—composed of brothers Roadfill and James Ronald Obessa—gave their statements regarding Aljur Abrenica's alleged involvement in a case filed by a 15-year-old female model who claimed to have been sexually harassed by the actor in Puerto Galera last Holy Week. The brothers, who were among the people with Aljur during those days, confidently told SC that there is no truth to whatever the young actor is alleged to have done during his stay there.

"Masaya kaming magkasama sa lugar na 'yon," James said, "friends kasi din namin 'yon [the 15-year old model] kaya na-shock kami nang bonggang-bongga. Hindi kasi namin akalain na ganoon mangyayari. Before kami magkahiwalay, e, okay naman talaga."

Roadfill added, "Si Aljur, tahimik lang, e. Hindi nga masyadong gumagalaw 'yan, e."

James also said that he and Roadfill were in communication with their 15-year-old friend and according to him, if ever there was a problem during that time, she would have told them. "Sana noong time na 'yon, tinext kami para sabihin na, 'Ang bastos naman ng friend [Aljur] n'yo.'"

The brothers also expressed their sympathy for Aljur and his family, who have been clearly affected by the issue. The brothers vow to support Aljur and his aim to prove his innocence.

"Naaawa kami sa tao," James said. "Wala siyang ginagawa at sobrang tino at bait. Pati sa family niya. Maayos naman siya sa lahat. Napakabait at down to earth. Lahat kinakausap niya."

Roadfill added, "Hindi namin akalain na aabusuhin ang pagiging sobrang bait niya. Basta sinasabi lang namin sa kanya na kung ano ang totoo, 'yon ang lalabas. Yun lang yun. Dasal lang 'yan at alam nila na mabuti kang tao," ended James.

STATEMENTS OF ALJUR'S ATTORNEY AND GMA-7. Meanwhile, SC got hold of Aljur's legal counsel Atty. Jun Ambrosio to ask him about the progress of the case. The attorney sent a statement through text.

The message reads: "Based on the information gathered so far, the controversy involving Aljur Abrenica and the complainant appears to be a case of a misunderstanding between two teenagers. Nothing remotely romantic or sexually predatory as initially reported. Aljur is consistently careful in his dealings with his fans, always upholding the highest standards in gentlemanly behavior, moral values, and ethical conduct as instilled by his parents and further honed by his home studio. Aljur is flying to the U.S. to fulfill his commitments that had been made long before this controversy. Upon his return, he will immediately attend to and clear the matter."

Aljur's home network GMA-7 has also given its statement: "GMA Network understands that the NBI (National Bureau of Investigation) is conducting its investigation of the complaint filed against Aljur Abrenica. The Network wants to assure the public that the company will not tolerate the acts of which Aljur is being charged. GMA Network, on its own, is looking into the veracity of the complaint. Until the results of the NBI and the Network's own investigation are known, it [is] only fair to Aljur for the Network not to pass judgment on the truthfulness of the complaint."
