"He's a very fair person. I think he is one the most objective people I've met in the industry. Even sa malapit sa puso niya, he can detach himself and just see whatever situation na nasasangkot siya. I think that's why he's such a mediator to everybody. Kasi wala talaga siyang kinikilingan, e. Dun lang siya talaga sa tama. I think that's how he really is, and that's how he has been with us. Wala siyang kaaway," says Gelli de Belen about her manager, Douglas Quijano.

Apat sa malalapit na mga tao sa yumaong talent manager na si Douglas Quijano ang nakausap nang live ng The Buzz co-host na si Kris Aquino last Sunday, June 14. Pumunta pa si Kris ng Heritage Park, kung saan nakaburol ang mga labi ni Tito Dougs, para ma-interview ang kapatid nito na si Allan Quijano, kaibigang si June Rufino, at mga alagang sina Gelli de Belen at Nadia Montenegro.

ALLAN QUIJANO & NADIA MONTENEGRO. Sa first segment, magkasamang nakausap ni Kris sina Allan at Nadia. Agad tinanong ni Kris ang kapatid ni Tito Dougs na si Allan tungkol sa kabataan nito.

Kris: Ano po si Tito Douglas as a child? Madaldal ba siya?

Allan: Si Kuya Douglas po, maliit pa kami parang lider-lider na namin, e.

Kris: A leader talaga, a born leader.

Allan: Asikaso niya po kami. Inaawat-awat niya kami pag may pagkasalbahehan. Medyo nagagalit siya, siyempre.

Kris: Nung nandito na siya sa Manila, nung lumalaki na ang pangalan niya, was he very generous sa kanyang mga kapatid?

Allan: Opo. Matulungin po siya sa lahat sa amin. Pati sa parents namin at saka sa mga alaga na rin niya outside the family.

Kris: Kasi Kuya Allan, ako personally I knew na si Tito Dougs had diabetes. But apart from that, meron pa ba siyang ibang health conditions?

Allan: Hindi ko po alam. Pero ine-expect na namin kasi sa type of work niya 'yan, e.

Kris: Nads, ikaw, ano ang first reaction mo when you found out about it? Who called you?

Nadia: Wendell (Ramos). For Wendell to call me 10, 10:15 in the morning, I knew there was something wrong na. And then when he told me nga na, 'Nads, narinig mo na ba yung kay Tito Dougs?' I kinda knew what it was. So, wala na, nag-freak out na ako. Then I called up Marilen [Nuñez], Apet, they couldn't talk anymore kasi they were crying na. And then I just decided to go to Marilen's place and that's where we all met, kaming magkakapatid doon. And then, yun, until we waited for the body of Tito Dougs sa Heritage that night.

Kris: Kuya Allan, napansin ko na naging very spiritual na si Tito Dougs. Kasi parang when he found out about my mom's illness, parati niyang sinasabi sa akin na, 'Pag dumaan ako sa mga mongha, I'm gonna ask them to pray for her.' And I was told na last Friday, he was able to visit. Kailan po na-awaken itong spiritual side ni Tito Douglas?

Allan: Palagay ko nung nakatira pa siya sa Sta. Mesa.

Kris: I went to that house. Sa isang birthday niya, nakapunta ako doon.

Allan: Kasi ako nga ang ginigising niya. Yung first Bible ko galing sa kanya.

Kris: Probably ito mga late '80s, kasi yung time na yun ako nakapunta doon.

Allan: Oo, mga ganun. Sa Ligaya Street.

Kris: Nadia, yung talent-management relationship, parang marami kang maririnig na nag-away because of pera, or because of hindi pagkakaintindihan. Parang with Tito Dougs, wala kang maririnig na ganun. What was he like as a person?

Nadia: He was more of a father. Kasi in all my life decisions that I have to do, siya lahat din, e. Especially when I was 16, sabi niya, 'O, in love ka na. Ako na ang bahala makipag-usap kay Mother (Lily Monteverde). Live your life and be happy.' Siya ang nag-decide for me. Pati yung... Lahat-lahat, even yung for my kids. Everything, siya lahat. Kumbaga, when he says yes, I know it's all right.

Kris: Ganun din ba siya sa inyo, sa inyong pamilya?

Allan: Maganda siyang mag-guide, e. Kasi level-headed si Kuya Douglas, e.

Kris: Tama, that level-headed term. One of the most beautiful things he ever shared with me, 'O, basta Kris, tayong dalawa hindi tayo co-terminus.' Talagang I loved him for that. Over and beyond that relationship, he is really a friend.

Nadia: Hindi kailangang maging alaga ka niya for him to love you. Yun ang pinakamasarap sa kanya.

Kris: Nadia, is there anything that you would like to share to the people about Tito Douglas?

Nadia: ...You know, first and foremost siguro, na for Tito Dougs, na he's smiling now. He is happy. We all know he died happy. And I'd like to ask for prayers lang for the family, for the grieving family, and of course lahat ng tinutulungan ni Tito Dougs. At lahat ng mga kaptid ko na alaga niya na medyo hindi pa...medyo nahihirapan.

Kris: Alam ko, most especially ikinukuwento ni Lucy [Torres] sa akin na Richard [Gomez] was just staring at the MMS, and hinahalikan niya yung litrato at hindi makapagsalita sa sobrang bigat ng dinadala.

Nadia: Yung mga kapatid naming sina Wendell, hindi pa talaga [matanggap], sina Anjo, ganyan...

hay naku..sa mundo ng kaplastikan..nung buhay pa ang tao walang magandang sinasabi..ngayong patay na halos gawan ng koronang ginto at ilagay sa tugatog ng pedestal..as if maririnig pa ng patay na tao yung mga pinagsasabi nyo..

wala kang maririnig na masama from showbiz dahil kahit maghuramentado pa tayong mga dito, ang mga tiga showbiz sila sila din yan nagkakapit bisig in the end!

ang abangan mo ang sasabihin ng mga PEPSTERS or outsiders dahil wala naman silang napakinabangan sa showbiz. nakikiusyoso lang at nakikialam
